I made brownies and 3 kinds of cookies. The VWAV Maple Walnut cookies spread too much so they're really ugly. :( But I'm bringing them anyway because they taste amazing and I don't want to eat them all by myself!

I crashed into a major sugar coma and now I want to sleep FOREVER. Best potluck ever.

We should do breads for January, or something else warm and wintry.

Bread and soup are awesome, Dan and I already decided what we'll make, we're going to veganize a recipe I found for bacon cheese beer bread (with non-alcoholic beer, since we're teetotalers, but the NA beer works fine in beer bread, I've done it before.) And for the soup we have an amazing recipe for a slightly spicy tangy delicious corn chowder that we love.
So yes on bread and soup from us.

Great idea! I'm totally up for a soup & bread potluck for January. Except for the first weekend, I'm available pretty much any time.

Maybe the second or third weekend in January?
Who wants to host this time? Or will EmJaeDee become our permanent Chicago PPK hostess? ;)
I'd be happy to have you all over at my place, but the only potential problem is parking for those who drive. You have to be really really lucky to find street parking in my area, or else pay a ridiculously high fee for a lot/garage.

Dan is going to have school Monday, Wednesday and Friday (night classes) starting the 9th. I don't go to school until the 31st, but then I'll be in school Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday during the day. So basically from February on we can do Saturday nights or any time Sunday. Which is absurd, but how our schedules worked out for this semester at least. My schedule is the same for the next two years, but his varies and I really really hope it changes to not be opposite mine forever. So in January we can do Tuesdays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Dan's band is recording the third weekend, so we can't do that.
So second weekend works out for us too. Then we become a huge pain in your asparagus from here on out, at which point we will totally understand if you have to schedule meetups and potlucks without us. Hell, we're already difficult so do what you have to do.

What if we set it up so that the second Saturday night of the month, or third Sunday afternoon or something, was always the potluck? Would that work? I mean, as a general thing that we can always change if it stops working. 'Cause I want Jessi and Dan to be able to come.
And as far as hosting goes, I'm always happy to do it, but I won't be greedy if someone else wants to.

I can't believe that I forgot about the December potluck! I got so busy with finals for school and packing that it must have just slipped my mind! Sounds like everyone had a great time!
I hope to make it to more future meetups!

I would love to come to the January meetup but I am coming back to Chicago on the 15th. My train arrives at 12. If it is later in the eveving, I can come!

I'm good with either the 14th or the 15th, in the afternoon/evening.

C'mon Chicagoans!! We're doing this next weekend, we need to get the details decided on! Day? Time? Location? I'm still trying to decide what to make.

Things are kinda crazy on our end right now, with Dan being back in school as of this week and me getting ready to go back, so I don't see us making it this month (hence my delayed response, I've been mulling over if we can do it or not). Have fun without us though.

Breaking News! I may have out of town company, which would make me unable to host. So who wants to host? I'm just hoping this company won't preclude me from attending the potluck. That would be sad.
