I can try to make it if it's at 5. I'm not sure though what I can make to bring because I have no food in my apt. I've been out of town for a month. So I am not too sure what I can bring.

Well if nobody else can or wants to host, you guys are welcome to come to my place. Parking's a bisque, but it's easy to get to via cta. Buuuuut...I'm wondering if we should cancel or reschedule? Jess and Dan can't come, EmJaeDee's a maybe. Heck, I might end up having a potluck all by myself!

Jeni - I wouldn't worry if you can't bring anything, there should be plenty of food to go around! :)

Alrighty Chicago peeps, when should we have our potluck? Would this weekend be too soon? Should we make it a February Bread & Soup potluck?

February, on a Saturday evening, would be super for me. Super!

We might be able to do a Saturday evening. We'll try for sure. It depends on how late it is, and on the weather. I'll get home from school Saturdays at 5:30, then I'd have to change clothes, load food in the car and drive up. The earliest I see up getting into the city is 7:30-8pm. If that doesn't work for you guys you can do it without us, and we won't be offended. I know our schedule is really dumb right now. Otherwise if you guys can do a Sunday we're good, but if Saturday is better for everyone else don't switch for us.

I can usually do Sunday brunch from 10-1ish, except for the 19th. Late night Saturday is no problem.

How about the second weekend in February, the 11th or 12th? I'm easy, I can do Saturdays or Sundays, whichever works for more people.

The 11th would be great. My mom will be in town again, and she'd probably like to come (continuing the illusion that she lives in Chicago). Sooooooup!

If you want to host that would be great! I would offer to host, but I think that my apartment is way too small to have the potluck.

If you want to host again that's great! I'd like to host at some point, but parking around my place is annoying, and I'm also worried my cowardly little dog will be scared of all the strangers.

I haven't decided. I make a cauliflower soup that's pretty yummy, maybe I'll do that one.

I still don't know what I'll make either. I never make soup (unless opening a can counts!). Does chili qualify? Oooh, and bread, we can't forget the breads.

It doesn't look like Abigail has been on the ppk for a while. I wonder if one of us should pm her so she doesn't miss this. After all, it was her idea!

I would love to come to a vegan potluck if the group is open to new people. I make a mean loaf of bread and would be thrilled to have a reason to make several different kinds.
