I'm not sure if this makes more sense here or in the Chicago forum. But I'll be in the Rockford and Freeport area tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could suggest vegan friendly places for dinner.

This is the only place I've eaten good vegan food in Rockford. But it was also 7 years ago that I lived near there.

I think we are going to try to hit Pig Minds Brewing Co. which looks like it is a bit outside of Rockford. It really looks amazing. The menu looks like it stacks up with The Chicago Diner and Portland's The Bye and Bye. I hope the taste delivers! Plus, lots of house brewed beer to entice my omni sweetie, who was already cool with going just to make me happy.

Strawberryrock, I was looking at Taste of India, but then I hit on Pig Minds brewing, and it's really exciting me. I will report back!
