Chicago-meetup next week?

I'm going to be around from Saturday til probably Wednesday the 16th. So far my schedule is open everyday but Sunday.

Who is able to get together for a meetup? I assume a weekday evening would be best for everyone, so post when you're free and where we should go!

Another option is Saturday. This might be short notice, but there is vegan ice skating at Millennium Park I was thinking of going to. PPK dinner and ice skating?

Weekday evening (Tuesday?) would probably be best cause I have to do some baking for Sunday, but I could always do that in the early morning on Sunday if we want to do Saturday.

How about pre-gaming at Fritz Pastry then the Diner? Or any other suggestions for dinner? We always go to the Diner (not that that's a bad thing. yum!).

Somewhere other than the diner would be awesome to me, but I could always go there as well. I haven't been to Fritz yet, so pregaming would be neat. But as for anywhere else for dinner, what's that Latin-American place called? with all the vegan options? I'd look it up but I'm on my phone. Anyways, I'd love to go there or (ah! blanking on names!) the Korean place... (where is my brain right now?)

So yeah, Tuesday? Tomorrow? Is that what it's looking like? Also, I have a noisy little car that can fit 4 or 5 people (including me) if we wanted to go somewhere out of the way or to a couple places on opposite ends of town or something. Just throwing that out there!

Sounds great! Fritz closes at 6pm, so how about we meet there a little before 5:30?

Not sure what the Latin place is, but it sounds somewhat familiar. The Korean place is Dragonlady Lounge. They do their buffet on Thursday nights only though and I hear it's realllly good.
Or did you mean Amitabul? It's kind of out of the way. That sounds good too!

Now that I'm on a computer, I was talking about El Faro. They're down on 31st. And I was talking bout Amitabul for the Korean place.

These are both out of the way, but also both places I've never been to.

I can also do the Diner for simplicity's sake. I haven't been there since January 2nd or something.

Either way, I think we need to figure things out soon. Fritz seems like it's happening either way though, so I'll be there.

Heya folks!

AV and I have been texting - is Amitabul okay for everyone? She's having the Diner for lunch.
So, the plan so far is this, if everyone is okay with it - Fritz Pastry around 5:30, then Amitabul around 6:30 6:45ish? Is that alright for everyone?

oh man, for some reason- maybe because so much stuff in my neighborhood is specifically mexican- i didn't even think about a "latin american" place meaning el faro! you should totally go there sometime. its so worth it, and so cheap that even with gas money or bus fare (its right off both the pulaski and the kimball/homan bus) factored in it's still a good deal. i am probably not going to have time to meet anyone for a few weeks, but some time in april i would have an el faro meetup if you're interested! plus with the weather getting warmer i would not even mind biking down there.

hope you guys enjoyed amitabul, in my opinion it is one of the best vegan places in chicago.
