Has anyone been to Fresh Cafe in Des Moines yet? We visited New World Cafe the other day and it was amazing!

When we still lived in Iowa two years ago we went to fresh cafe when my vegan hIgh raw mom vIsIted. Service was not good. They ran out of ingredients so they just didn't bring my dish wIthout explanatIon. We were with my husband and then 1 year old son. It was a busy lunch tIme and two teens were working.The family ate while I tried to get someone's attention and get ignored. Their food was good but I didn't get anything because we had to get my mom to the airport. Since we lived several hours from dsm in corn country it was even harder. I hope it was inexperience on the staff part but it wasn't a great time.

Thanks for sharing, jildez! We're still going to give them a try as they were really nice to us at the Des Moines Farmer's Market last year. Great wheat grass lemonade!
