this is late-ish for a tomato but not really *too* late I don't think, so I'd really just head into the tomato thread if I were you. The tips would be no different.

You can indeed plant and grow thing but those things are just different things! Heh. I only know the more obvious things, like kale and onions. There are indeed more options though I am sure. A local nursery, closer to the date would be a good place to check. If they are selling starts of something during that time, well that means it's plantable at that time! It would be really odd and irresponsible of them to sell a start for something that was not able to be planted!
