These pictures are about two weeks old, but it's too dark to take any now so you guys get to see my plants as wee babes.

Stoopside raised beds! Front box with broccoli, kale, hakurei turnips, beets, and volunteer marigolds from last year: Image

Back bed with so much lettuce and spinach:
Image
(That's creeping thyme and blue star creeper down on the ground. I am hoping for a lush squishy walkway this year.)

Chives, eggplant, sage, basil, and rosemary in containers on the back patio:
Image

Tomatoes, the light of my life:
Image

Freshly planted shallow bed with cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, armenian cucumber, slicing cucumber, watermelon, zucchini, yellow squash, baby bear pumpkins, and butternut:
Image
This bed is going to be a big crazy tangly wonderland this summer.

Bougainvilla! My tribute to Florida:

That is so awesome abbie! I'm thinking of moving soon so I might be back to just a balcony.

That is so awesome! I love how nothing can stop a gardener from having a garden! Very creative!

Here's what they look like this morning:

Lettuce/spinach bed is going slow but steady:
Image

Broccoli is going nuts, and it's time to thin the turnips! I am just going to let those baby marigolds hang out where they are.
Image

Pole beans are ready to start climbing:
Image

Cauliflower/broccoli/cucumber/squash/cabbage/melon bed is loving this heat:
Image

I caged the tomatoes yesterday, but don't have a picture of those.

Everything looks great! We had to thin out our turnips already too, the greens made a yummy fresh salad. I love your bougainvilla too--do you have to water the crepe out of it? Every time I try to grow anything here that we used to have in Virginia it just shrivels up and dies because I am just bad about watering enough.

Wow, thanks!! I am sending this to my husband. We live at just over 6,000 ft with major clay soil mixed with our own compost--looks like this will help. And it will surely help all the potted stuff we have :)

D'oh! I forgot you were down under. Check your local garden stores for that and see if they carry something like that.

We got our boogie at Flowers for Three greenhouse in Milliken, and the owner said that there is a bigger risk of overwatering. We water ours twice or so a week, and bring it in when it gets under 45.

jewbacca, hopshack is in Golden, CO, hence the Au! She's got the same tons of sun/not much rain climate I do.

hehe, yep we're in Golden :) I will have to try Flowers for Three--we usually go to Timberline up in Arvada.

Btw abbierae, do you ever go to Golden City Brewery? There is a B&B right nearby--13th street I think--that has a super gorgeous garden in the front and all the flowers are blooming like crazy right now. it's a beautiful sight, and a beer to go along with it doesn't hurt either!
