I started growing food on my balcony this spring. I think I put some of the early pictures in an old thread but they got lost when the Greenhouse subforum opened.
Here is what I had around mid-May....

Basil - it was still indoors then.

Mint, just barely alive after a cruel winter and an overcrowded pot.

Lettuce, in dumpstered desk drawers.

And teeny tiny sprouts of zucchini.
Since then, we've had very sunny, very hot and moist weather. The typical early Korean summer, which apparently plants love as long as they get watered enough.
And the progress a month later...

The mint is growing pretty well!

The basil didn't do all that great, especially since it got some kind of lice. Who knows anything about Korean plant lice?

The lettuce is amaaaaazing - I've been plucking it daily to eat a big salad for lunch, and there's still more than I could eat.

Look at that zucchini! I could not believe how fast it grew. Climbing all over the place, too. We'll have flowers in a few days.

I also planted some snap peas (which Veg Eric sent me in his massive care package) and they've been growing really fast, too. We're seeing the first flowers.
Now here's the fun part... Monsoon started today. Ha! No idea how the veggies will fare. At least I'm off watering duty.
