When I was growing up, the old folks called the last snow of winter (or "first" one of spring) "onion snow" because it's when you are supposed to plant your onions. We can't even get back there to prepare our garden because it's way too muddy and wet. You're supposed to plant your peas now too. The best I can do is start a list of what I want hubby to plant later on. Musts: tomatoes, cucumbers, several kinds of peppers, eggplant, squash. Good thing I have an awesome gardener hubby.
