I'm not sure if Orlando counts as Dirty South, but it seemed to fit best here.

Anywho, I am going to be in Orlando for two separate occasions this winter and wondered if there was anywhere that I HAD to hit up? I will be travelling with my omni family, so anything TOO vegan is probably out. I think they already have most of our meals planned out (via gift certificates purchased on restaurant.com) but I am hoping to get to choose at least one place. So, if you had to choose one or two veg friendly places in Orlando, where would you choose!?

I've been to ethos kitchen a couple of times and think they were quite good.

This thread has the lowdown on where to eat in Orlando as well as information on theme park dining. I'll be in Orlando for Thanksgiving and used the info here and from Happy Cow to make a list of restaurant options to present to my omni family.

veganna is pointing you in the right direction. O-Town is pretty veg friendly these days.

Veg_Eric, you take very lovely pictures.

There is a loving hut in Orlando if you like such things.

Personally I do NOT like Ethos. Their service is terrible and the food is usually mediocre at best (with the exception of a few great dishes).

Garden Cafe near 50 and I-4 is good, but out of the way of most places a tourist might go.

Drunken Money is also great in the downtown area. Not all veg but they have some great options and some of the best seitan I've ever had.

In the east Orlando (UCF) area, you've got all of the standard vegan friendly fastfood. Chipolte, Pei Wei, etc. There's also a place called Sus Hi that has some vegan options.

I've never had bad service at Ethos. I've been 5ish times. You order and pay at the counter and they bring you your food. You refill your own drinks, etc., so it's not like you really sit around waiting for anything other than your meal, which has never taken too long for me.

I think the food's good. I've had better, but I've had worse too.
