Any recommendations in Charleston? I'm heading that way in a couple of months for work. Tips are much appreciated!

I'm from Charleston, although I have only spent about two weeks there in the past year. There's not a lot of solely-veg*n stuff down there, sadly. Most of the places downtown, though, if you call ahead, will put something reasonable-to-awesome together for you, and the same with a lot of other places in the area (West Ashley, Mt. Pleasant, &c).
For some reason, there's also a raw 99% vegan juice bar kinda place in Mt. Pleasant right off of 17 near a bowling alley? It's done pretty good business because it's directly connected to a gym. They have some food, but I've never tried it. Similar sort of place over near the shopping center in Mt Pleasant with a Target. There's a thai restaurant Basil that, last I asked, didn't have fish sauce in the curry, but I'd recommend calling ahead. They have a location near the aforementioned Target, and also one on King downtown. They don't take reservations, though. Another restaurant, same place, right across from Basil managed to make a nice three-course meal for me on New Year's Eve, although the name fails me.
My brother and parents have been begging me to go to Taco Boy, downtown, which has marked vegetarian items on the menu. At least one of the Mellow Mushrooms in the area (the Mt. Pleasant location, way down 17) has vegan cheese (daiya) for the pizzas, though in their style, it's rather expensive (still delicious). I don't know about the downtown one, though. There's a place called Alluette's Cafe that my parents have told me to go to a few times, but I haven't managed to make it. There's a fast french restaurant called Gaulart et Maliclet downtown that's relatively cheap, tasty, and has some vegan stuff on the menu.
If you're there in the summer or spring or early fall, I think there's a Saturday or Sunday farmer's market downtown on King catty-cornered from Moe's, and there's a Wednesday one on Coleman in Mt. Pleasant. As far as chain stuff goes, there's Moe's, some Chipotles coming soon, a Pita Pit, standard drive-through places, all of that. Down 17 there's one of those chain Italian places, and they've been able to make stuff for me before.
There's two Indian restaurants in West Ashley, Nirlep and ???, down the street from each other, on 17. I haven't eaten there in a long time, though, so I can't vouch for the veganity.
Also, if you don't have Food for Lovers queso in your area, you can totally get some at the whole foods in Mt Pleasant. And Sweet and Sara marshmallows and some other tasty junk foody stuff. And I've seen some neat things at the Earthfare, too. And there's a new Trader Joe's near the Whole Foods.

Wow, sweet! This is awesome. Thank you! I'm just in town for a couple of days for business, but I didn't want to relegate myself to the regular chain options if there was some local fabulousness I should be considering. Very helpful!

Is there any kind of vegan Thanksgiving dinner in Charleston? We're going for that weekend and everyone giving me recommendations is a carnivore.

Anything new in Charleston? I'm having no problem finding craft beer but I've been to Mellow Mushroom many times now. Tasty, but some variety would be good. Any Asian restaurants with vegan options? Is Whole Foods the only place with Southern-style vegan options?
