So with the closing of Karmavore and Viva Granola, where do you fellow Canucks get vegan specialty food problems like Teese or Vegg or whatever you fancy (I'm not looking for either of those--I am just looking for a Canadian online retailer for all-vegan stuff!).

Is there a vegan shop I'm not thinking of? I know about all the ones in US but I'd prefer to shop in Canada, and also to avoid crazy shipping fees!

argh I don't know of any :( I just go the route of VeganEssentials and bite the bullet. I miss Viva Granola so much. Sigh.

There's veganaisle.ca, but they don't have the selection viva granola or karmavore had.

I haven't tried it yet so I don't know what the shipping is like, but there are some vegan products on well.ca. Not much choice (mostly things that can be found in stores in my city anyway), but they have Dandies marshmallows among other products I can only find online.

Veganaisle.ca sends me to an error page.

It's so sad that none of these stores manage to survive in Canada! :( My favourite was always Viva Granola. Even when I was living in Vancouver, a sky-train away from Karmavore, I ordered from VG because their shipping was so reasonable, their customer service was awesome, and well, soy curls.

I wish I had the money to start up a vegan store when I move to Wolfville.

Bummer that Vegan Aisle isn't around anymore! I haven't ordered from them since last fall.

I have ordered Method cleaners/soaps from Well.ca and it worked out pretty well. I haven't tried them for other vegan things, I had no idea they had Dandies!

I really, really miss Viva Vegan. I loved spending my Saturday's shopping and talking with Brigit.

Vegan Aisle is closed temporarily while they move. I hope they reopen since it's the only place I get my soy curls.

Yeah seriously. Viva Granola had the BEST customer service. I was tickled when I was in Montreal and got to visit the storefront and have a little lunch there. I wonder why it didn't work out...I certainly ordered from them all the time!

I so miss Viva Granola, where else could I order a case of soycurls from? I really hope that there's another reason why these places closed and not because there weren't enough sales.
I've never heard of Vegan Aisle, I'll have to keep an eye out for when they reopen.

I usually go with Vegan Essentials, too. I wait until I get one of the 10% off your purchase coupons because at least it helps to offset the shipping. I ordered from Pangea once and it took a month for me to get my package. I'm not saying it was their fault, it could have totally been the post office, but with Vegan Essentials I usually have my package in about 2 weeks. Karmavore were usually out of stock on items that I wanted so I only ordered from them once. I tried to order from them a second time but I emailed them with a question and they sent me a really unprofessional, snippy response so I didn't deal with them again after that. At least Vegan Essentials have always been super nice to deal with.

I order my dog food from V-Dog. It's weird though, they used to deliver right to the door (Fed-Ex?) but the last order came in by Canada Post and my SO had to go to the post office to pick it up. A 60 pound box of dog food!
