I killed the thread :(
Anyway, are we still down for a late lunch Sunday, around 2 or 3? Any suggestions for locations?

yeah - turns out Saturday evening isn't good for me afterall. I have a concert Sunday night, so anything brunchy is preferable. If later works for others, I'll just have to pout and wait for the next one.

The show's at 7, so realistically, I should be done and ready to go by, like, 5:30 or so. I'm building in a huge buffer there. It's doesn't take me an hour and a half to get downtown. I like buffers.

I haven't been to My Local Cafe - what's it like?
I'm always up for Rhizome, or Bandidas again, or for trying Cafe Deux Soleils.

Okay after skimming the last few pages of this thread i'm all caught up! Is there a way to subscribe to posts on this new forum? that way I can keep up with this thread. So things I need to chime in on: The templeton has a decent breakfast but none of their bread is vegan. It all has whey or something stupid in it and not all of the servers inform you of that. Also for someone looking for a peanut butter cup type snack - Cocoa camino has new chocolate bars out. http://www.lasiembra.com/camino/en/chocolate-snack-barsI had the peanut butter one and it was very peanut butter cup-like. so good!

I like the Templeton's brunch, and I like the Templeton in general. I just kinda wish they could accommodate more than 4 people in a booth comfortably. We once got six in a booth, but we had a couple of thin people in the group and those on the end got a shitty deal *cough*josh*cough*. There is one server who is awesome about vegan ingredients - they messed up my order once and she marched it back to the kitchen and gave the cooks hell, saying "c'mon, this girl is vegan!". And bigfuckingYAY to peanut butter chocolate! Thanks for the info - I might just have to go buy some at lunch. Any chance you'd be available for Sunday? ALSO - to subscribe to the thread, there's a "notify of replies" or something check box below the text field when you're submitting a reply.

Oh man, I was hoping to try the Templeton before Harry Potter tomorrow night! So the portobello burger sans cheese isn't vegan? Sucks to my asthmar (that's Lard of the Flies before you all go thinking I'm nuts).
So for Sunday I can't make it, my Sun Run leader training goes far later in the day than I originally thought. Have fun!

So, shall we do Cafe Deux Soleils? I've completely lost track of who's coming... Quote rearranged to suit my reply... mel b wrote: So for Sunday I can't make it, my Sun Run leader training goes far later in the day than I originally thought. Have fun! Damn :( Do you train certain levels? I'm considering maaaaybe doing the run this year... mel b wrote: Oh man, I was hoping to try the Templeton before Harry Potter tomorrow night! The lentil loaf is decent - that's what I usually get. Might be a good idea for us to get on writing to them to ask about getting dairy-free bread - I want a chili dog, dammit.

The clinics definitely do train all levels! my mom is just finishing the "Learn to Run" Program I had her on and trust me, if SHE can learn to run after telling me for 27 years she can't, then anyone can! pm me if you want clinic details :) mel b wrote: Oh man, I was hoping to try the Templeton before Harry Potter tomorrow night! Hm, maybe I'll send them an email to ask about the bread options and hold off a visit thil then. A chili dog would be damn good right now.

I finally got into the Railway program at BCIT for January! Now I just need to find a place to stay, so if anybody is renting or knows somebody who is renting please let me know. I need to find a place before the last week of December that is preferably near the Great Northern Way campus.
