Are there any Winnipeggers on the PPK?

I usually go home to Manitoba once a year or so and fly in through Winnipeg. I typically don't have a lot of time in the city (my family lives about 2 hours west) but we usually make a point to stop a Boon Buger (yum!).

In February I'm going to be in Winnipeg for a couple of days and I was wondering what else is in the city for good vegan eats. I haven't lived in Winnipeg in about 10 years so I'm behind the times. I know about Delicious Vegetarian on Pembina (I used to live nearby) but any other recommendations?

Thanks!

In the interest of compiling information here in case anyone else is looking for options in Winnipeg - it sounds like Stella's has a few vegan options and quite a few locations (including one at the airport!). I'm definitely going to check it out while I'm there in a couple of months.

I think this is as close as I'm going to get to finding the 'Vegan In Thunder Bay' thread since Winnipeg is the closest city of note... I'm a recent transplant to Northern Ontario and kind of figuring out how a vegan even exists here... :)

Vegan Dad is from Northern Ontario too! And I just read about someone who had visited a place called Tuco's or something in maybe Sudbury or something...vegan tacos.

Woo hoo! Vegan tacos only 11 hours away!! :) Might be good to know if we ever make the drive to Toronto!

We drove here from Vancouver and LOVED eating at Boon Burger in Winnipeg on the drive over. Total culinary highlight of our road trip!

Don't make the unfortunate mistake my partner made. He went through the airport security check only to learn that Stella's was back on the other side.

D'oh! I always forget how far apart they are. In my (southern Ontarian) mind they are close.

I think Vegan Dad is in North Bay? I haven't been to Thunder Bay in a loooong time so unfortunately I have no suggestions. :(

I totally agree with you on Boon Burger though. It's so yummy! Vancouver to Thunder Bay sounds like quite the drive!
