I get my hair done at Moxie, formerly next to City o' City - they just moved. The Moxie girl told me CoC wanted that space (the big ol' corner spot) to expand. Woooohoo!

Yes, more City O' City is always a good thing. Maybe there won't be a half-hour wait on a Tuesday night anymore?

They should give us our own booth. With a plaque.

I haven't had wings in like a week. I might have to remedy that today.

Hi! I'm in Lakewood, just outside of Denver. I am hoping to semi-compete with Watercourse Bakery in the next year (or at least the darned Cupcake Truck) with mobile vegan baked goodness.

Olives really said it all. Root Down is amazing, WC/CoC delish. Sputnik rocks, although I am sad that they dropped the best ramen bowl EVER off of the menu.

Also, Boulder isn't too far and you absolutely must try Leaf.

I third the Leaf recommendation. I don't get out to Boulder much, but when I do my visit isn't complete without getting out to Leaf.

We went there on New Year's Eve and they have a vegan caviar plate and it was SO GOOD.

I just indulged at City o' City... wings, Caesar salad & custom 'zza. Yuuuuuuuuummmmmmm. Also, the Avery Czar was a little goblet of heaven.

I work in Lakewood, and anytime you want to put a vegan cart outside of Union Tower, I'll be there. And so will some of my co-workers.

Sweet. Made an offer on a truck... crossing fingers and toes that the mechanic tells me good things. I will definitely hit Lakewood - no one ever does!

It is not completely devoid of vegans, though. It looks like it at first glance, but there are several of us hiding in dark corners throughout Jefferson County.

Didn't get the truck :( I was outbid. Stupid Craigslist.

I'd love to meet other JeffCo vegans! Haven't even met any other vegetarians here!

Ok, well maybe several is a bit extreme. Maybe a handful is more apt. Fine, I've actually only heard a couple of people mention their "vegan friend," with no real proof they actually exist.

Sorry about the truck. There will definitely be other opportunities, especially with now being the off-season for mobile food. Plus I guess zoning restrictions are getting weird. Have you heard about what's happening with the Cupcake Truck? It's here: http://www.denverpost.com/commented/ci_17025076z

Yes, I've been following it like a hawk. Crazy stuff, but there are petitions going around and all of the truck owners have banded together (even more than before) to push for reasonable regulations.

Yes, the Justice League of Street Food is doing their thing. Also, candidate for Denver Mayor (and State Senator) Chris Romer is supporting the truck.

Hoping all of this means it'll be a great time to get into the biz - I want to know exactly what I can and cannot do city-wide. Coming from a restaurant management background, I'm no stranger to red tape. I just like it spelled out clearly!

Because I'm lazy, I haven't been to Denver since I moved 5 years ago? I'm going back next month. I may try to coerce my husband to come with me.

At the office today we were talking about how we wish he could be mayor and governor. And all of our senators and representatives, for that matter.
