Yay! I am so glad you had such a great time. I think Texans are pretty much the friendliest people ever. That is one of my favorite parts. What did you have at Mr. Natural?

The question is what didn't I have at Mr. Natural? I had Rellenos and then some baked goods and ate a little of everyone else's everything else. I like Texans too, especially since I secretly am one :) We had such a good time that we almost just said screw LA and stayed :)

Oh that Relleno is new, I only had it once but I really liked it! I'm glad you got to try it.

Screw LA :)

It's been a couple years since I have visited, and maaaan, I am so excited for all the new places. Especially looking forward to getting a cup of coffee and some tofu scramble tacos from Bouldin Creek - I dream about that tofu scramble!!!! Sweet Ritual and Capital City Bakery too!

I'm so glad this thread and Lazy Smurf's link are here. I am planning on being in Austin next month. Do any of you Austin-ites know if the W in Austin is located by all the good food and fun places? I may be able to get a really good rate there.

Yeah! The W is in an awesome spot, I went to the spa there once too and it was really great if your into that sort of thing. It's also super close to La Condessa which is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the country and super vegan friendly so you should definitely go. They film all the Austin City Limits concerts in the moody theater right over there too if you like live music.

Oh that sounds awesome! I am hoping my friend can work some magic and get me a good deal on a room. We are planning on doing a Sunday-Monday night stay. Is there live music and other activities on Sundays?

Yes! Sunday is definitely less hoping but there is always a ton of stuff going on any night of the week. And from the W you can walk just about anywhere downtown. You'll need to take the bus to go to most of the good vegan spots but from right there it'd be super easy.

I will be in Austin from the 14th to the 19th for the marathon. So excited! My sister and I had so much fun last time we were there... I am drooling for a popcorn tofu po'boy. And like a million breakfast tacos.

Is is SXSW yet? My boyfriend's band is playing again, and I'm basically only going for the food. I've been dreaming of it since we left last year!

Going Austin in April for the MotoGP race and could use some advice. We are thinking of not renting a car and using the shuttle bus service to and from the track. Where is the best place to look for hotels that also has access to good food and such. Long days at the track so not a lot of time to explore. Just looking for delicious dinners every night. Seems like the public transportation is decent there, so that is our plan.
