I searched and didn't see a previous thread. I'll be in San Antonio visiting a former student of mine. I've done some research on Happy Cow, but what shouldn't I miss food-wise? Any suggestions for fun things to do? He's Iraqi and he's been in town awhile, what might he have missed?

For food, you definitely want to hit up Green and Vegeria. A lot of people really like the Cove, too.

Vegeria is great but they close at 8:30 every night so be sure to get there early if you go for dinner!

If you find yourself in Alamo Heights, go grab a veggie or black bean puffy taco from Adelante! Ask for extra guac instead of cheese. Other menu items there can be hit or miss but the puffy tacos are always drool worthy.
