We're going for our first visit to Best Friends sanctuary in May.
We're debating between staying at:
Holiday Inn Express
Shilo Inn
Best Western
Comfort Inn
Has anyone been to Best Friends before and stayed at any of these hotels? Some of the reviews on trip advisor are a bit scary so I'm hoping to get some reassurance from someone who stayed there and liked them!

Stayed at the Comfort Inn for work with no problems, it was nice, staff was friendly. Be sure to visit Willow Canyon Outdoor, Book shop, coffee, outdoor gear, good people. Remember there are a bunch of locally owned motels in Kanab too, If I was going on my personal time, I would check one of those out.

Apparently people are seeing this and commenting long after it was posted, but...
My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the cottages at best friends and it was pretty nice. If we go back (and we're headed to Lee's Ferry next summer for some raftin' so we'll probably stop in Kanab on the way) we'll probably camp, though. They have a few dogs you can take on camping sleepovers.
There's a surprisingly good vegetarian coffee shop in town. Woman who owns it is a real character!
