My local Save On just started stocking a whack Field Roast products and they seem to have increased the Tofurkey selection as well. Just passing on the news....not affiliated with either company in any way.

I have also found them at Country Grocer (I think it's related to Safeway, as they carry Safeway brand items too) on the island. Yay for Field Roast in Canada!

The manager at save-on told me around Christmas time that they were rearranging the store to allow for far more veg and vegan options....baby steps but we are slowly getting there. I always make a point of filling out the online surveys and suggesting they "add more vegan options."

Apparently at at least one of the Save-Ons in Surrey they have an entire vegan section including pizza, etc. My (omni) coworker comes in and excitedly tells me about new vegan products she's seen. It's pretty adorable.

Why is Save On better for fake meat than Whole Foods? They always get new Gardein products before WF as well. And when their prices are cheap, they're cheap. Only thing WF has that Save On doesn't is Beyond Meat.

Must be buying power. I always do a walk through the vegan stuff and hope to catch their occasional crazy pricing...and that's why I have 6 huge containers of Quinoa taking up space in my kitchen.

If you want some Beyond Meat stuff, email your store. I have had awesome success with my local store by politely emailing and requesting specific products...they are usually very helpful and always phone you within a couple days and let you know what they are going to do.
