Hi guys!

I'm ferrying to Vancouver tomorrow to see my mum who is visiting for her birthday. We will be going out for dinner and she was looking for suggestions (downtown) that will have options for both of us. She is a really conservative eater (all of her suggestions were Italian, which doesn't usually fare well for vegans). I suggested Nuba and would love to suggest Wild Rice, but my mum is a little bit of a wimp with Asian food. Anything I'm not thinking about? She wants to go someplace "nice"!

Nuba was my first bet - you can't lose, but it gets boring if that's your only go-to place

Heirloom/Acorn were both reasonably good imo, though others have other opinions (I prefer Heirloom over Acorn). both had fairly 'normal' dishes from what I recall, though are both veg.. not sure if that counts as normal :)

If you don't mind travel out of downtown, Grub is always my go-to for eating with omnis. If you want to stay downtown and your mom really does mean "nice" then Yew at the Four Seasons is AMAZING. But $$$.

Oh! Yew is an awesome call. Thanks! I think she is okay with a splurge since she lives in deathbridge and rarely gets a chance to enjoy fancy-pants Vancouver.
