That's ok. My life is so hectic (in good ways, just really busy with work, family, friends, volunteering, goals, projects, etc.) that I am nervous about committing to being at a future potluck right now anyway. I love the theme, so get some great pictures for me, and I won't mind missing this one at all!

Hi all -

Thanks again to Electric Claire for hosting such a fun end of Summer potluck! I volunteered to host the Fall potluck at my place in Evanston (so sorry, Rhizo, I know our cats are a problem, but this is likely the last time I can host for a while!).

We decided on a Fall Colors theme where you can choose a Color of the Rainbow to feature in each Fall-inspired dish!

What dates work best for you all? I'd like to suggest:

-Sunday October 25th (or Saturday the 24th)
-Sunday November 1st (not that Saturday since it's Halloween!)
-Sunday November 8th (or Saturday the 7th)

-Diana

Yay! I'm already thinking of what color to pick!

I can do Sunday, Oct. 25. I'm currently planning a trip for one of the other two weekends, but don't have the exact dates yet. I'll post again when I know for sure (should be very soon).

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it to the next one either... We're moving during October and I'm sure we'll still be busy settling in around that time, plus Michael is having surgery at the beginning of November, and we're supposed to have a baby shower some weekend before Thanksgiving but haven't picked which weekend yet, AND I think my mom is going to come visit me sometime during November but I'm not sure exactly when that will be either. So busy! So I would say go ahead and pick a time that works for other people and I will hopefully make it!

Thanks for understanding, Rhizo.

Claire - WOW! Good luck with all of that, and especially good luck to Michael!

Emjaedee - would Oct 25th work for you?

Once we have a date, I'll pass it on to my local veg-crew and I'm sure we'll get a good turn out!

Ok, I have plans on Oct. 24, and I'll be out of town the weekend of Nov 7-8. So I can do either Oct. 25 or Nov. 1.

Actually, Nov. 1 would be slightly better for me than Oct. 25.

Hooray! Let's make November 1st the official date then. Does Noon-ish work for those of you that are available?

And please pass on an invite to Oliver!

Noon-ish is perfect. I do not know if I will have B with me or not, he is a wild, unpredictable person. ;)

Great! Glad Noonish works.

I just heard from Rachael that she is bringing Scalloped Potatoes so White is taken.

Now to decide what I will bring!

Thinking now that I'd like to make a Lentil Loaf (brown with a red topping) and some Mustardy Roasted Brussels Sprouts (green). I figure lots of folks will want to bring Orange dishes!/:-)
