Hello!

I'm working on a list of vegan-friendly BYOB restaurants here in Chicago, and wondered if anybody knew of any good ones outside of the average thai/sushi type places (but do suggest above average ones!).

All I have so far:

Vegan/Vegetarian:
Kitchen 17
Amitabul
Urban Vegan
Quesadilla La Reyna del Sur

Vegan-Friendly:
Wasabi
Irazu
Bite Cafe

If you know of any, please post them below and I'll add them to the list! Thanks!!

Yummy yummy! (They serve meat but also a great vegan selection with several kinds of mock meat, as well as the obvious tofu and vegetable dishes.)

I think most of the vegetarian Indian places on Devon are also BYOB. Arya Bhavan (all vegetarian with an awesome selection of vegan stuff, including an all-vegan thali with coconut raita and such) is the vegan-est, and I'm pretty sure BYOB.

You could try

Ground Control ( in Logan Square - AMAZING seitan tacos)
Chicago Diner (One in Logan Square, the other in Boystown)

I like both of those places, and frequent both of them quite a bit, but they both serve alcohol. Pretty sure at least chicago diner charges a fee if you bring your own, not sure about ground control since they have a more limited drink selection. Chicago diner even has a couple taps at the logan square branch! And i really like their bloody marys. (Maries?)
