I'm not positive on the #....but I think this might be our 3rd time doing a Picnic themed potluck?

Anyway, I volunteered to host our next potluck. I'm thinking we do it in my backyard (Evanston) so we have easy access to bathrooms, sinks, a/c, refrigeration... but with picnic blankets! (and if it rains or is gross out we can picnic blanket inside).

If that sounds good, we just need to pick a date. Would either Sun Aug 28th or Sun Sept 4th (Labor Day Weekend) work for you?

Also, should we just do a regular "picnic" potluck, or should we add an extra twist to it?

-Diana

I think might even be the fourth one, but only because of that one year when we had two picnics. :)
Either of those dates works for me. I never say no to picnic food!

My summer is all over the place, so sadly I really can't commit. I think August 28th currently looks a little better for me, but really don't plan around me.

Thanks for hosting, Diana!

Either date works for me, and I'm fine with a general Picnic theme, unless someone has another brilliant and creative suggestion!

Thanks for the input everyone! Let's make it official for Aug 28th and a plain ole Picnic theme :-)

Pups and Babies are welcome.

How does 1pm sounds?

It looks like Mr. Rhizo and I can make it to this one! Would it be ok if we also brought a friend?
I'm probably going to bring gazpacho, and I'm also thinking about making the BBQ Seitan and Crispy Coleslaw Sandwich from v'con as a giant sub that everyone can slice pieces off of.

Great! This will be my first time at your house VeggieNextDoor. I sent you a pm, but maybe your message box is full. Will you please pm me your address and maybe phone number too in case we get lost? Thanks!

Mr. Rhizo says he'll set up the futon.
