Ooh, good to know about the cash only policy! I'll make sure to have cash on hand.

Yep, I'm in for 1 p.m. Sunday, May 12 @ Hogtown Vegan! And I've been there once before so I know how to find. (I'll walk to the restaurant from Ossington subway station). I didn't know about cash only, either so it's good to know. Hope everyone can make it! <3

Great! I'll be there! I should be getting a prepaid sim for my phone on Saturday, so I can PM one of you my local number once I'm there. Assuming that's you in your avatar, seitanicverses, I should be able to find you all, but if you see a short, chubby, bespectacled woman with curly brown hair looking lost, it's likely to be me.

I think it's currently 4, lobster.

I already looked at the brunch menu. Think I'm getting tofu rancheros or the omelet, but leaning toward rancheros! Gonna get in the shower in a few and head downtown in a bit.

I think I'm wearing jeans, a purplish/blueish short sleeve/cap sleeve shirt and an army/khaki jacket (I think). That's me in the avatar, lepe so you know what I look like. I'm not really hungover this morning in any sickly way, thank God, but I'm hungover-hungry!

Ha, I'm lying in bed suffering the consequences of a fun Saturday night. Only ppkers and Hogtown's rancheros can motivate me to get moving. See everyone soon!

I'm just jetlagged and not hungover! I'm getting ready to head out, but I just have to say, holy crepe, it was just snowing a second ago!

I'm wearing jeans, a blue and white striped shirt and black cardigan and a bright red coat. See you guys soon!

It was great meeting everyone today. I loooved the tofu rancheros, too. I really didn't eat much today other than that (had a small meal for dinner) because it just seemed to tide me over. Also, I don't think I ever cleaned a plate at a restaurant in my life but I ate every bit on my plate this time. Yum! We need to do it again soon! I agree, lepe, that Hogtown Vegan rules!

Pics! (Sorry they're so massive but the photobucket app on ipad doesn't have a resize option!)

From left to right: lobsteriffic, Tea, our lovely waitress, who inadvertently photobombed us, and seitanicverses.
Image

My Chicken and Waffles with a side of collard greens. This should really go in the "Grossest food porn ever" thread, shouldn't it? My crappy cell phone camera did not do this justice.
Image

Lobsteriffic's PB and Banana French Toast with homefries.
Image

A very blurry shot of seitanicverses's Tofu Rancheros with homefries. Tea also had the Tofu Rancheros, so I only took the one shot.
Image

OMG, so much good food! I could have not eaten for the rest of the day but my dad really wanted dinner so we went for Thai later, which I was unable to finish. Man I hope I still fit in the dress I brought for the wedding at the end of my stay! Too much amazing food in Toronto!

I just had to tell you guys that I went to the UH in the Eaton Centre for lunch today (had been shopping) and had the Sesame Tempeh sandwich and OMG that was good! Gad, I'm going to miss Toronto!

I'm going to UH Eaton Centre tomorrow for a tofu BBQ sandwich. I get the Sesame tempeh too sometimes. Yum! I also get a cupcake sometimes (one of the fauxstesses, usually). Love that place. Nice big sandwiches too.

I didn't see the fauxstesses! I got an orange spice cupcake instead. Not bad.

I mentioned this in the peeves thread but when I was in the Sephora in the Eaton Centre, this guy was helping me find vegan makeup and he told me he was vegetarian and he'd tried going vegan but it was too hard. Huh? You live in TORONTO! There's a vegan restaurant in the forking food court of the mall you work in. This has got to be one of the easiest places in the world to be vegan. Seriously, my jaw dropped.
