Hi everyone!
I haven't been very active on the Toronto forum within the last year, but look at us! we got our own section on the square now? Awesome. I always tell people that Toronto is a very Vegan friendly city and I guess this confirms that.

I wanted to come on here and post about a new Vegan bakery here in Toronto right around the corner from the Lansdowne Subway. Full disclosure: it's owned by a friend and I even helped paint the place, so I might be just slightly biased ;)

But the real story here is VEGAN DOUGHNUTS! proper fried doughnuts that even omnis can get behind.

All sorts of tasty baked goods like vegan butter tarts (if you've had the butter tarts at Hot Beans, they are made by TBC and are also back at Hot Beans now after a brief hiatus) cupcakes and brownies. There's also savoury items like Pizza Buns, croissants and pretzels. Take home meals are available like Mac and Cheese and ravioli. There is also a full coffee bar and they make their flavour syrups in house (I have already had several Almond milk Mochas!). Here's the facebook page:

Facebook is abuzz about them, and next time I'm in the city I'll definitely be making a trip there!

Mac and cheese cabbage rolls? jeeze, I'm gonna have to stop by. I'd be pretty stoked if this was a Saves the Day referenced vegan restaurant as well, aha.

I got some donuts there as part of a Valentines gift for my boyfriend....wow so delish!!! And so many different flavors! It is a bit out of the way for me, but I'd like to stop by when I can!

This place rules. I had the chocolate donut and the toasted coconut donut and they tasted exactly like they should. I also had the pizza bun which was delish. I think it had daiya in it.
