I'm visiting Toronto in a few weeks! What are the must visit spots? Where should I eat (especially casual spots to grab a meal)? What is fun for kids to do there? I don't even know where we'll be staying yet.

Hogtown Vegan!
I really like Rancho Relaxo...it's a. Mexican place that can make almost anything vegan as they have Daiya, sour supreme etc in the back.
Hot Beans burritos in Kensington Market
Greens is good, and cheap, also in Kensington Market
We have a lot of vegan bakeries now! Through Being Cool has doughnuts and things and they are in the west end. Tori's is in the east end and has chocolate croissants! Bunners is all gluten free, also west end. Apiecalypse Now is more central, they have all kinds of goodies.

if you're looking for something fun for kids, I would take a ferry over to Toronto Islands for the day, it's really nice over there! Take food with you though because there isn't. much for vegans. Also, get to the ferry terminal to leave Toronto early ish because those lines can get long!

Yum! Thanks. I've had Hogtown Vegan on my list for a while now. I want to eat every meal there, but I know that's not practical at all.

We went to Hogtown Vegan, Urban Herbivore (in Kensington Market), and hit up Through Being Cool, where we got killer donuts.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. Your city is wonderful and now my husband won't stop bugging me to move there!
