If I had a 14hr layover in Toronto, would I be able to do/see anything or would it just be annoying?

I'm checking flights to Dublin and some have these YYZ layovers, but I can do nonstop for the same price, so I would only do it if I could have some fun.

There's not much by the airport but you could take a cab downtown (it's around $60 one way I don't quite remember) or public transit ($3 one way...one bus then you can get on subway). How long these options take depends on what time of day and if it's near rush hour. There's also a new train option that I don't really know about.

What kind of things do you like to do? We have a lot of vegan restaurants and bakeries, museums, galleries, etc. What time of year would it be?

i think the union-pearson express train ( https://www.upexpress.com) is between 30-50ish dollars, depending on where you want to get off. there are also coupons around which could cut that in half or so, if you found one! public transit is much cheaper, but takes more time (more than an hour).

even with the travel into the city core, you'd still have lots of time! it's a great city, with lots to do (and eat!).
