Redefine "nearby." Problem solved?

My parents live in Renton! Yeah, there isn't much in the way of vegan restraunts, but Tukwila has Panera, Chipolte, and Pita Pit, so I'd always try to drag friends there when we were getting food.

Are you near Fairwood? Cause Thai Destination's (it's on 140th and Petro by Albertsons) doesn't use fish sauce in their curry (I think they don't use it at all actually) if you like Thai. I went to high school with the son of the owners, and I made him check for me. Also, they are the nicest people ever and are pretty much the only Thai place I've never had trouble leaving out eggs in any of the dishes.

Oh! And there is a vegetarian Indian place down by Sam's Club with a bunch of vegan stuff.

Thank you! Yes, so far Blossom in downtown is the best thing ever. A little pricey, but delicious. I also have a yeast intolerance so it limits the choices even further. I love cooking but have a weakness for good vegan restaurants.

Moin Moin!

New here, been vegan for a year or 2, and love to cook and experiment. I live in Seattle proper, and al pretty much always welcome to having visitors over for shenanigans and deliciousness.

Yeah, it counts. (Well, are you close enough for the occasional meet-up?)

Adding myself to the list! Been here for 2 years, first in Cap Hill, now in Columbia City.

How have I been a PPK lurker for years and never discovered this section?

Anyway, hey, I live in North Seattle and I volunteer at Vegan Haven once a week. Usually.

YOU GUYS. I'm going to be visiting from mid-april-ish to mid-may-ish. I don't have exact dates yet, but what I'm saying is: I wanna see all of you.

WOO HOO! If a meetup happens on a Saturday evening or a Sunday morning/afternoon I can come down from Bellingham! I will always and forever suggest Moonlight for meetups. Moonlight forever.

I'm really new to PPK but I would never turn away from a meet-up. Being the only vegan I know, couldn't hurt to have a friend or 10 locally! I'm not smack in the middle of Seattle or anything, but I'm over in Maple Valley, so not SUPER far away (well traffic pending).

Keep us updated! :)

KJ, you're a Moonlight fan? I guess I forgot that. I'm always up for a Moonlight meet-up so it's so darn close to my very own house.

I love Moonlight! My family even went there for Christmas dinner this year!
