We have a whole new forum of our very own and some newer Seattle-area folks as well! Plus we're way overdue for a get-together. So let's plan something. (I wish you could tag people in posts, a la facebook...)

So, what do we want to do (food is a given) and when? My only limitation is that breakfast is out.

Tentative suggestion: second weekend in April?

That would be neat! I have the time off because my boyfriend will be visiting from out of town :) He'd be tagging along.

If everyone has FB we could make a FB group/event? So we can tag people.

I can't do the first weekend. I'm hosting a family thing.

We could do one the last weekend of April, and another in May or June?

I'm not used to having to check our fancy new sub forum. I always just do view active topics. Anyway! I'm up for whenever/whatever. April 27th or 28th sounds the most promising?

I think we should plan something this weekend and then make sure we do another meetup soon-ish for anyone who can't make this one. Seems to me like in the good ol' days we used to average every couple of months.

Well, SweetT will be in town in May, right? So we know we'll have a real deal meetup then for sure. Sounds like a good plan. Sooooo... where's everybody want to go? We still haven't tried Veggie Grill. I'm up for wherever, though.

I'm game to try Veggie Grill. The little nibbles I had at vegfest were pretty good. I've also been jonesing for Bamboo Garden.

I wasn't a huge fan of veggie grill, but I also don't like fake meats. (I like tempeh though). I've always wanted to try Bamboo Garden! I've heard great things.

I think we're looking at the last weekend in April, don't have a day or time set yet.

Ah, well I'm sure I can get it without. The problem I have with veggie grill s the only thing they have without fake meat, are salads. At least when I went that was how it was.

But, I'm easy. I'm up for anything. Especially since the hardest thing about eating out is finding vegan options, when non-vegans choose the place. At least we won't have that problem ;)

Yeah, Bamboo has tons of fake meat (mmm, delicious fake meat...) but it's a huge menu and there's lots of veggie dishes and stuff without it too.

Plus, I feel like their fake meat is different than Gardein or something. And, yeah, there's just veggie or tofu/veggie stuff, too.

Does anyone have a preference as far as Saturday vs. Sunday goes? Sunday might be better for me if we want to do lunch. If it's dinner, I can do either day.

Either day! I couldn't do lunch Sunday though probably, since I'm dropping my boyfriend off at the airport in the afternoon.
