Because our house is a giant cat magnet, we have become the default looker-afters of a very companionable cat whose former people moved away. He's been living on his own for a while now. We have five cats, and keeping him here is just not sustainable.

He's black, shorthaired, and affectionate. He's declawed (front only; he's got rear-wheel drive). He likes to be picked up, and he gives hugs.

Would you like to add him to your family?

I have no idea about dogs. Some of our cats he happily ignores. Some he mixes it up with.

I'd be happy to let you "borrow" him—no strings attached—for a trial run.

He sounds like a wonderful cat. I hope he finds the family that deserves him soon.

Any estimate on how old he is? Is he more indoor or outdoor friendly?

Thanks!

I would guess he's... 4 or 5? (I'll ask Mrs. Face. She's much better at that stuff.)

He used to spend all of his time outside (seeing as he was abandoned), and he seems perfectly comfortable out there. But he also loves being in here where it's comfy. He lies peacefully for hours and tolerates a fair amount of stroking and squinching.

Thanks for the info! Now to brace myself and talk to my husband about the possibility of a cat. To be honest it wasn't something I was seriously looking into just yet - though we have talked about getting a cat on and off. Will get back to you if he bends! :)

Bend, man, bend!

(Mrs. Face thinks the cat is probably 6 or 7.)

He's so cute! One of my friends mentioned that they were thinking about getting a cat. I will ask them if they are serious about it or not.

They just left... with the cat!

We're hoping it all works out.

Thanks, Katie! You get 100 points!

(We sent them off with a bigger carrier than the one they came with. I think the plan is for them to give it to you to return to us whenever.)

Yay!! I hope it works out. I'll be stopping in Seattle next Sunday on my way back from Olympia, maybe I can drop it by your house? If this weekend doesn't work out I'll be down again soon visiting family I'm sure.

Either way is fine. Just text me to see if we'll be around.

(Got my numerals?)

(Which is what the cool kids/scientists say? I guess?)
