I'm going out to dinner with some friends on Friday night to celebrate my birthday. I want something nice, so not Wayward, Pizza Pi, etc. My friends aren't vegan, and I want them to be able to find something on the menu they'll like. I love Plum. Have you all had good luck with omnis there? I'm also considering Cafe Flora. Any suggestions or tips would be welcome!

I've eaten at Plum a few times with (open minded) omnis and they really liked it. I think Cafe Flora might be slightly more omni-friendly since there's "real" cheese and stuff, but I think the food's better at Plum.

Happy birthday!

I LOVE Cafe Flora. Plum is good, but Cafe Flora is better and prettier and Madison Park is so gorgeous an area of Seattle to hang out outside before/after.

I vote Flora. You won't be disappointed. Their decor is the best I've seen in the city.

I agree with Pinko. Cafe Flora's nice, but Plum's food is so much better in so many ways. I've also eaten there with many happy omnis.

My friend says that the new Madison Valley Araya's is really, really nice. http://veganscore.com/2014/05/25/seattle-arayas-vegan-thai-madison/
She also just did an entry about somewhat fancier places: http://veganscore.com/2014/05/26/seattle-vegan-date-night/

Wait, wait, wait. There's a new Araya's? No one told me!

Yes! I went a couple weeks ago. They have a small patio. They're located just a block from Flora. It's tasty and quiet!

That's much closer to me than the one in the V-District!
