Coming soon!

We eat at the Bay Area ones whenever we have the chance. I'm assuming this one will have the same vegan options (aka Daiya) and I'm so excited. Deep dish, people!

I'm a thin crust gal, but I'll try it anyway. I mean, it's pizza.

HOORAY. I will be making approximately 60% more trips to Seattle now.

My new apartment is directly above a Patxi's! The smell when I come home is drool worthy. However, I've yet to try their pizza because I just can't justify $20 for a pizza for myself.

Yeah, but Pinko's buying!

(I think that's what she said, and I'm far too busy to scroll up there to check.)

Oh!!! My sister lives right by there and I'm visiting her the last weekend of April. Anyone know if there's any chance it will be open that soon? And if so, meet-up?!

I can drive by and see if I can tell how close it is to opening. The site just says soon.

Dude! I just walked past this place and had no idea it was vegan-friendly. My crush-dude and I spent two blocks trying to pronounce it. It wasn't open when I walked by, but I just assumed they were closed for the day, not 'not open' yet.... Now I'm antsy to try it. I'll check again soon. I'll be by that way next Tuesday.
ETA: NO! It opens the 31!!!

I'm excited for you guys! Patxi's is a serious gut-bomb.

I also misread the title of this thread as "Patxi's Ballad" and I thought it was going to be a melodramatic song.

Perhaps one of us will write a cheesy ode after eating there.

Y'ALL. We ate at Patxi's last night and it was SO GOOD. We had a deep-dish with spinach, garlic, kalamata olives, and Daiya mozzarella. We also tried the roasted Padron pepper appetizer, which was delicious. The wait for a deep-dish was ~45 minutes, but it was worth it. It was super busy when we got there shortly before 8, but it slowed down over the hour+ we were there. It's REALLY LOUD in there, but we'll definitely be back.

I had the thin crust the other night! It was super quiet, but it was eleven on a Thursday. It was really tasty, but it was way too expensive for only a 10 inch pizza- I paid 20 bucks before tip. It's a great option if I'm out with friends and they want pizza, but I'd rather just take the drive to Pizza Pi.

Okay, so I had the deep dish. This is the first time I've ever had deep dish. It was so freaking delicious. the 12 inch one stuffed my roommate and me. However, I felt like crepe the next day- too much daiya and bread!

Hahahaha! YUP. When I lived in SF and had Paxtis delivery at my disposal we ordered it once, sometimes twice a month. It was bad. I always felt awful the next day, BUT THE CRUST IS SO GOOD.

Telling them to go light on the daiya helps though.

Yeah, I can only handle a Patxi's deep dish about once or twice a year! It's so damn delicious but seriously takes me two or three days to finish it all.
