Y'all, we're getting a Sizzle Pie! It's going to be in the old Po Dog location (RIP, Po Dog) on Capitol Hill. http://www.capitolhillseattle.com/2015/ ... o-e-union/

They have really great vegan options and creative pies. If you've never eaten there, check out the menu: http://www.sizzlepie.com/MENUS
Pizza brunch pies. Yes.

I am SO EXCITED about this. We love Sizzle Pie and eat there every time we're in Portland.

Looks good!

I feel like Rip Van Winkle when it comes to pizza places: was I asleep for forty years, during which time pizza got really expensive? I keep being surprised by how expensive pizza places are.

The pizza of our youth (pizza hut, little cesars) are still really cheap.

Maybe I just never went to upscale pizza places when I was a kid. Or... until I was in my 30s?

I never did, so I have the same experience you do. "What do you mean I can't feed my family a pizza dinner with $20?"

I haven't really been able to find out. Everything I've read just says that the owner decided to shut it down abruptly. No reasons given so far.

OMG Sizzle Pie!! Yes, they are expensive, but the pizzas are ginormous. Like the small is enough for 2 people and the large is umm really really large. I love the buffalo 666 one.

I'll probably never be able to convince my husband to try Pizza Pi now, since the only thing that could ever come between him and his love of Razzi's is Sizzle Pie.

Plus Sizzle Pie always have a good selection of vegan slices available in the restaurant - usually at least three varieties!

Starryeyed, your husband doesn't know what he's missing by not trying Pi. We love them so much, and the owner is the nicest guy (vegan, obviously). I don't even consider them competition with Razzi's because the pizzas are so different - and Pi is so creative and varied (housemade cashew ricotta and tofu feta, Field Roast products, spinach artichoke sauce, potatoes, stuffed crust...). Plus you can get mac & yease on a pizza or in mini calzone poppers! And floats! And ice cream sundaes! And dessert calzones!

Now I want pizza from everywhere.

Drugs Benedict and Animal Chin are such good brunch slices! They make me wish I was hungover when I eat them.
