I'm going to be traveling through Canberra on my way to and from visiting family in June. Any must-eats? I'm also into fancy coffee roasters, so recommendations for those are welcome, too. Also I'll probably just be there for one meal arriving and one meal leaving--most of my time's gonna be in rural NSW. Top twos are recommended!

Woo Canberra! Sweet Bones is a must-do, it's a vegan bakery/cafe in Braddon (just north of the city centre- like a ten minute walk max). They're open from 8am to 2-3pm (depending on the day), the food is super good and they get their coffee from a local roaster that's a few doors down from there. It's my favourite!

Au Lac is also good for dinners. It's a vegetarian (I think there are only a couple of things there that aren't vegan) Vietnamese place in Dickson, which is a bit further north. Pretty standard menu but everything is tasty. It's our go-to place when we feel like going out for dinner.

If you end up in or near the Blue Mountains at all, there's also a vegan bakery called Rubyfruit in Leura. They bought stuff to Canberra for our hippie festival last year and everything I tried was awesome. I've been wanting to plan a trip out that way just to go there!

Thanks! I'll check those out! I wish there were going to be blue mountains : ( Pretty much all Bega Valley, most likely.

Luckily my relatives like tofu and are fine if I just cook all the meals.

Josh really talked up Canberra last night, I'm thinking I need to plan a road trip when I get home!
