Hey guys,

New to Sydney and after some awesome recommendations for yummy vegan places to eat.

I've already checked out a few places - Blossom Lotus, Revolution Foods, Sadhana Kitchen, Green Gourmet - but what else is there? I'm sure Sydney is a vegan's paradise!

I don't live there but just went for a holiday and my favourite place was Bodhi in the Park, they had really good yum cha. Pretty pricy for what you get so I managed to spend way more than I intended but at dinner and it was easier to spend less. I also went to Mother Chu's several times and liked that a lot. Iku wholefoods was pretty good too and it was handy that they have several different locations. Also, Lard of the Fries for fast food, mmmm.

I really like Yulli's on Crown Street. They didn't have any vegan desserts on the menu last time I was there, but there were plenty of vegan options on the entree and main menus, and everything we tried was excellent so I didn't mind about the lack of dessert.

Are the vegan friendly eating places in the same sort of area? I need to book accommodation for my upcoming visit so tips on good areas to look which are within walking or easy travel distance to good cafes or restaurants would be appreciated.

I'm assuming there aren't any specifically vegan friendly hotels or b&bs as I can't find nay online but if you know different please let me know!

(I was there about 18 years ago and can't recall much but expect loads has changed anyway.)

Newtown area is great for vegan options and cafes.

My fave is Sadhana's on Enmore Road. It's all raw vegan and amazing. There's also Suzy Spoon's and Lentil as Anything (last time I was there it was all vegan but maybe check), and Green Gourmet on King St. There's other places in Newtown that may have vegan options but not sure of all of them.

In terms of a good location for accom, the CBD area is ok, though it's not walking distance, you can get a bus or train to Newtown pretty easily, especially if you stay around Central Station area. From the CBD you can then get to a lot of other places without much hassle.
