I get liquid smoke and agave from my local Deli (Toowong village). If you have delis around you maybe ring them up and see if they can carry it. I think all the health food stores here sell agave but I couldn't find liquid smoke for ages (turns out it was at the deli all along but I never thought to look there for it).

What's the name of that deli? I would like to go buy some liquid smoke if they have it.

All this burger talk made me want Lard of the Fries so much. I miss that place badly!

It's called Fruity Capers Deli

Fruity Capers next door is a good fruit store too.

I got two bottles of liquid smoke at David Jones! YEAH. Made maple smoked tofu with it last night.

And here is a photo Boyfriend took of his burger yesterday:

It's a Mexican burger, smothered in chilli and cheesy sauce. I had a Mediterranean burger, but I admitted defeat and only ordered a half-burger.

It rained in Adelaide all day yesterday, it had better stop by tonight. I don't want to be all soggy and disgruntled in my Halloween costume.

I'm thinking about it. I'm writing an essay at the moment, and so if I can get enough done that I'm feeling happy about leaving it for a couple of hours, I might head there for about 12pm. Maybe see you there?

I hit up world vegan day earlier today. It was raining when I rocked up just before noon but it was still packed.

I've been wanting liquid smoke for a while too. I can't find it here, but I'm going to Adelaide tonight (YAY) so I'll try to have a look at the markets there. If that fails, I'm getting it online.

I'm so excited to be going home, I haven't been since like April or something. Tomorrow I'm going to my favourite vegan burger place and I'm going to eat a burger bigger than my head. Physical challenge, YEAH.

Nonono, don't import! It is available in New Zealand. Zarbo sells it in Newmarket. I got mine there. It costs about $16 and mine has lasted well over a year. I get my agave from Huckleberry. Zarbo also sells things like vine leaves (for making dolmades) and every spice and seasoning under the sun.

Ooh the price has gone down. Nice. :)

What happened to all the spinach!? I can't even get it frozen! Noooooo!

Ok well there is still baby spinach but that would cost too much for what I need it for :/

I think the season for English spinach is way over caterpillar! :( Funny that you can't find frozen spinach. What are you making?

I couldn't find frozen spinach in woolies at all and I thought I was going nuts but then I went to coles and they had a 'this product is currently unavailable' thing.

It's for a tester recipe for QueenV and I already got all the other ingredients. I will have to bastardize it with some silverbeet.

You're obviously one of THOSE PEOPLE. Content to eat from the trays in space, I mean the bain marie.
Disgusting. Who does that?

Awesome! Our Cruelty Free Fest is this Sunday. And on Saturday we have the last Syd Vegan Bake Sale for 2010.

I banished spinach from Australia. Except baby spinach because it's the best green leafy vegetable.

Aw crepe, I'm working! I bought a couple of delicious things at the August one, and I'd love to hit that up again.

Also, will I ever tire of Funky Pies? I think not.

I will be sure to spend a moderate amount of money at the bake sale (really I need the money for the CFF ;) )
