I'm meeting a friend for lunch downtown later this week. The friend is omni and budget-conscious while I am vegan. Where in downtown can we find a good, affordable restaurant where we can both eat?

I'm much too late, but I'm posting in case anyone else has this question in the future. When I was in law school, my eating out treat was Tierra Cafe. It's part of a food court with non-veg restaurants on Wilshire between 7th and Figuero. Prices are reasonable and they have a nice selection of sandwiches and things (although I always got the portobello sandwich).

also too late, but, mendocino farms has a location at 7th and fig. great vegan sandwiches options, most omnis i know love their sandwiches. (same spot has a sprinkles cupcake, so you can get cupcakes after.) ;) it's part of the newer shopping complex right there.. think there are a few other food options, too, in the salad/hummus category..
