we'll be in italy for 2 weeks in may and i'm wondering if there's anything new that hasn't been covered in the previous threads (naples, linanil's thread, etc.)? we're spending a couple days in rome, heading to sorrento, then back up to florence, cinque terre, a quick stop in milan, then finishing up in venice.
i guess i'm more looking for suggestions in the northern areas since rome, naples, and sorrento seem to be covered pretty well already.

thanks!

i'm exciiiiiiiited!

we're going to skip milan, i think. tickets to the last supper are already sold out and they are hosting the world's fair this year, so i think it'll just be overly crazy. we may make a quick stop if i can get tickets to l.s., but we're going to spend that extra night in venice.

i will let you know what i find around the north!

oh! hi! and i kind of figured we would be making our own meals through most of northern italy :)

we're fine with that. that's why we're stay in airbnb apartments instead of hotels.

but if something opens in the next few weeks, definitely let me know!

Well, there's a place near S. Tomà where they make gluten free and vegetarian stuff, I'm not 100% sure about vegan, but I bet they could figure something out very easily!

If you drop by the Giudecca I can toss you some cookies ;D

Hey, I'm going to Italy, too! I'm actually planning to go to the World Fair in Milan. This year's theme is "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life." I had an opportunity to attend a presentation by the USA Pavilion folks during SXSW, and it sounds exciting. They mentioned plant based diets are key to our future during the session, so i'm hoping the rest of the world goes to the fair and follows suit! :-)
