Berlin is for sure vegan heaven, I live here and am walking distance from a vegan collective grocery store, all vegan cafe and vegetarian Italian restaurant. And a cafe with vegan cake that has couches built up into the ceilings. Heaven.

Can there be a Berlin meetup, anyone else? That'd be awesome!

Also I wrote a post once about some of my favorite places in Berlin if anyone is interested. Here it is:

If anyone feels like meeting up in Berlin either way on another day- it'd love to. I'm pretty friendless and vegan place-savvy...

Well, since I lost my job, I can't afford to go this year :( I am devestated and am trying not to think about it too much or else I'll bawl my eyes out; I had already done so much planning and was days away from buying our tickets when I found out about being laid off. It is just being POSTPONED, though, so all your great advice will be used in 2014. And then maybe then we can have a meetup? :) / :(

actually, after consulting family, I'll be away somewhere 21st-26th. so what if we aim for late October.

Sunday 27th?

or early November: 2nd or 3rd?

(or! plan on a date that works and I'll catch up with you all another time)

ALSO: does anybody want anything brought from the US?

I might be in Vienna in mid-to-late October because I'll want to see my new niece!

So maybe I can fit a PPK meetup in. :)

Just curious, how many people from this forum actually live in Berlin? If there's a few of us maybe we can meet up and stuff our faces somewhere in Berlin! Would be cool! I've been to the Berlin Vegan Stammtisch, but found it a bit intimidating, though I'm sure I'll give it another try sometime. :-)

Everything is a bit crazy until the new year, but I'm down the first week of January or so!

Either the 4th or 5th are both good for me. Where are you in Berlin? I'm in Neukoelln, but don't mind going "up north". There's that new vegan Italian restaurant above Veganz at Warschauer Str...

I'm just by Rathaus Neukölln (ish), but I'm also okay travelling. force me out of the neighbourhood :P

let's make it the 4th unless anyone comes in with any objections!

Sounds good to me, guess we should spread the word around the other threads? Anyone else there?! *cricket cricket*

I'm in Kreuzberg, so Neukölln would be fine for me, too. Or Kreuzberg. Or anywhere really.
