Yes, I'd like a jar of mayo! (or two, if you'll not bend double from the weight)

I'll go ahead and pm the missing peeps to ask if they wanna come.

Saturday would work for me, if it's Sunday than I'll probably join up later in the afternoon.

Count us in! Either Saturday or Sunday is fine, but Saturday would be preferable.

I'll happily spring for a jar or two of mayo if you can swing it, Karen!

Sunday doesn't work for us.

I had the fondue a few months ago and they used different seasoning or something; I didn't like it as much as before! :(

Nooooooooooooo!

Saturday is better for me, too. Fondue or not.

Fondue sadz. I'll make you guys Miyoko's fondue sometime, it's the absolute best cashew fondue in the world.

So Saturday. Dinner at Veggies on Fire? Lunch at Vegetarian snackbar or Baklust or...?

We need to make reservations, for dinner and maybe for lunch too, depending where we go.

How many people will be there, 13? Robynn, Lutin, Pickledtreats, Veg_Eric, Fisticuffs, Emilie, Interrobang, Bun + Mr. Bun, Muffinpants + Mr. Muffinpants, Cornelie + Mr. Cornelie?

I vote for lunch at the vegetarian snackbar! Because it's awesome and we had baklust last time.

Oooooh Vegetarische Snackbar. Will mean a lot of moving the car though (VS -> V4U -> VoF)...!

Hey guys, Interrobang just told me she's not coming, so she's not in the numbers, Cornelie. Double sadz.

Could you park and leave it somewhere for the day while we move around together on trams and stuff? Or maybe park it at your last destination so you don't have to walk to it when you're good and tired?

I'm there! I'd love a giant jar of mayo if you're sure you're sure you want to carry it.
I like Baklust more than the Veg Snackbar, but don't mind being voted out.

Also, so sad about the fondue. I've been dreaming about it! Man.

I've been dreaming about eating that fondue with you, lutin!

I'm down for baklust, too. I love the pasteijte thingy they have on the menu. It's the best. So I don't mind. If we don't go to the snackbar together, I'll probably end up there anyway on the way home! I can't resist it.

I went to baklust over the December break I had and took my friend who was visiting, but they were closed for a week. I was so bummed! If be happy to go there, too.

Den Haag is an embarrassment of vegan riches.

I hope that wasn't the bad dream that kept you (us?) up last night!
/ I would totally do a side trip to Baklust. Those pasteijtes! Exactly.

Fantastic! Saturday works well for me, and I am up for lunch and dinner pretty much anywhere :) I haven't tried the snackbar or veggie on fire, so those options sound great. My roommate Robyn (same girl as last time) might join us as well, but I'l not 100% sure yet.

Also, I will be back again for another month from mid-October to mid-November so we can definitely do Baklust and fondue then ;)

More thoughts about Baklust vs. the Snackbar:

- Baklust made so many vegan desserts when we gave them a week's notice last year
- They also do more nutritious food
- And have more space for a large (12?) group

imo the Snackbar would have trouble hosting a group half our size. They have no space! Also, when I was there, really, really loud music (and no desserts).

eta: Should someone call Vegie4U to say a giant group is coming wanting cheeze and field roast?

Good points Lutin! And now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that greasy snackbar food would be followed by me feeling like I'm dying for the rest of the day :) Baklust is more than fine with me!

Yeah, I'm sort of Baklust inclined too, mostly because of the space issues and because I went to the snackbar a couple of times already. I don't mind calling Baklust like I did last year to announce the vegan flood and ask for extra cakes, but I think they do need about a week's notice, so we'd have to decide soonish.

BAKLUST. If anyone wants to go somewhere else, they always can and we can meet up later. How about we decide today/tomorrow so Cornelie can call and make the reservation? I mean...in the end it's all yummy food!

I also think Baklust is more convenient. More space to sit and their food is better for lunch than the Snackbar.

I expect to be at a conference there next Fall sometime! Nice to see they have additional vegan places. Last time I went, it was only Loving Hut.

Wow, artisan vegan cheese from Leuven <3

You guys need to come to Amsterdam some time soon too. Dophert, Vegabond, Koffie ende Koeck... Unfortunately, still no good vegan dinner place.

Edit: and the vegetarian snackbar will set up a cart on the Waterlooplein soon!
