No good vegan dinner place. I think Terrazen might blow up into a cloud of rasta weed smoke if a crowd of 12 PPKers tried to have dinner there.

Guys, I was informed about the meeting up by a vegan fella in a NL forum. I am a vegan Brazilian living in Den Haag and I would love to join. Is it ok? :)

Hi there and welcome to the PPK! I think I've seen you post on the Vegan Nederland facebook group? You're very welcome to join us as far as I'm concerned.

(Wow, you've been a member since January. I seem to have overlooked your first post in the thread about vegan products in the Low Countries. Sorry!)

We've been discussing the details of this meetup on Facebook. I'll send you a friendship request (Martine). If you friend me I'll add you to the event so you can see what's going on.

We actually did go there with a group of circa 12 PPKers once, in 2011 I think? And that's a pretty accurate description of what happened.

By the way, are any of you going to the Viva Las Vega's festival in Amsterdam on June 29? That is, if they actually manage to crowdfund enough money to host it. http://www.voorjebuurt.nl/project/viva-las-vegas

I might not have a lot of time for meetup stuff because I'm doing a nut cheese workshop. Also it's my mom's birthday wish to watch me teach and see my 'vegan world', so my parents will drive up from the south to grace us with their embarrassing adorableness (just thought I'd warn ya).

Yes! Amsterdam meet-up! We are going to be moving back to Canada at the end of July, so before then? Actually, before mid-July since I have family coming then.

Whoa! Your degrees are already finished? (Time flew!)

eta: Maybe we can plan something when we're sitting around Baklust or the dinner place? Or, since you're moving, you could name one or two dates and take a poll.

I know, so close to being done already! Planning in person sounds good. My thesis is due June 27th, so probably sometime between then and mid-July would be best for me.

Dang! I wish I could be there for your workshop. I'm going to be in Birmingham that weekend for a workshop :(

Bummer! Don't worry, this workshop will probably come around a few more times at other events. Don't have anything planned yet, but people are really into nut cheese and I decided that I like giving workshops occasionally. We can have a PPK cheesemaking event sometime too.

Re: Amsterdam meetup, we'll be in France 13-29 June. I have a friend coming over the 5th of July, but maybe I can still reschedule. The 12th is good for us too.

I would prefer June, too, because July is the last two weeks of school (see: hell) and I leave for the states on the 13th. I love the idea of hanging out in Amsterdam, trying the new lunchroom, hitting up Vegabond and getting Ethiopian food :) But I'll be happy just to hang out with y'all!

I prefer June too, but 5th, 6th or 12th of July would be okay.

The Viva las Vega's festival will be on June 29th, so that weekend I'll be occupied with workshops and parents a lot of the time.

If I decide I'm well enough to go the US, I won't be around for any of the possible dates. If I'm not, then it's all the same to me.

eta: ps dudes, We might be having the same kind of going away party for me a year from now. Depends on where I find post-PhD work (!).

Darn, it sounds like this is going to be tough to schedule. July 5th would be really good for us - any chance you might be able to make it on that day pickledtreats?

At the moment, with the way things are going at work, July is also better for me than June, but as with all renovations/moves, the situation is fluid.

Ok, so should we tentatively say July 5th?
