The statement from her camp said the family is happy about it. Maybe they think getting married will keep her off the bong? So young. But hey whatever, she's just being Miley.

Haha that would be the dumbest reason to get married. I'm not really shocked at someone that age announcing an engagement; I'm mostly just still surprised that little Miley Cyrus from the Disney channel is with a hot Hemsworth bro. Jelloooo

It is cracking me up a lot that Scout Willis (age 20) was caught for underage drinking and that specifically she was drinking "an 8-ounce Pakistani beer." What a criminal!

Hahaha I can't believe that made any news. Oh no a 20-year-old was drinking a beer! The influence of terrible famous parents.

I honestly don't give two shiitakes about underage drinking. 16, 17, 20...have at it! Haha.

I do, however, loathe Miley Cyrus with a fiery fist of passion.

I firmly believe this is why 16 year olds should be allowed to drink but not drive. Know your limits before you get a license!

I wonder if Miley's pregnant. Her family's pretty religious, right?

They've dated a couple of years, haven't they? Don't think marriage will change her if dating him didn't. Won't keep her from the bong, and won't probably get her wearing a bra/stop showing side boob.

I stand by my statement. It's not like adults are any better. Drinking and driving is an entirely different issue that only belongs in this thread if we're talking about some celebrity mug shots.

My favorite is still Nick Nolte's.

yeah. I think there's a problem in this country because alcohol is such a forbidden taboo, and kids learn to binge-drink instead of enjoy and handle it reasonably. sorry to derail further.

As said just above, let's move away from the underage stuff and talk the dirty, filthy celebrity talk.

Justin Long and Kate Mara are apparently dating! I like them. (They also apparently saw Jesus Christ Superstar on Bway at the performance I was planning to go to, but my brother convinced me to watch sports on tv with him instead. Someone owes me.)

I agree with you about the drinking age. This country is way too puritanical about some things. Locking them away as forbidden fruit is nonsensical.

See Scout Willis was drinking in public! That's what is so dumb about it. At least go to a club or something, why are you boozing on the street??

apparently Lindsay Lohan was rushed to the hospital after crashing into the back of an 18 wheeler?
shes claiming its not her fault but typically in a rear end car crash its usually the one doing the rear ending that is at fault.

apparently she is ok. did not say if the 18 wheeler driver was ok.

It would be pretty difficult for an 18 wheeler to not be okay, when pit against a porsche.

Poor Lindsay Lohan. I'm so happy she's okay - I can't help but root for her, because I still think of her as that cute freckle-faced kid, and its so good that no one else got hurt too.

She's had a few accidents recently, and I just hope that this is the last one, because next time she might not be so lucky.

Quote:
The accident is the latest vehicular mishap for Lohan, who had her driver's license restored in August 2010 after losing her driving privileges because of a pair of DUI arrests in 2008. She is still being sued by three men who claim Lohan forced them to remain in a sport utility vehicle she commandeered and used to chase a woman she thought was her assistant on Pacific Coast Highway. That incident ended in the parking lot of the Santa Monica Police Department, where Lohan was arrested.

Friday's accident comes after the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office last month determined there was insufficient evidence to pursue a case against Lohan in a nightclub manager's claim that the actress struck him with her sports car.

I know. With all her advantages, it still seems she was cosmically screwed from the start with those awful parents.

She doesn't actually seem to have any redeeming qualities but I still can't help rooting for her.

I rooted for Britney Spears too; I'm glad she got the help she needed.

I guess there is always hope--look how awesome Drew Barrymore turned out to be.

Holy crepe. I just looked on TMZ. LL has a guardian angle or something; that is one hell of a totaled car. And not injured and back at work 2 hours later? At least it seems no substance was involved.
