I think the appeal mostly is to play with other players. I'm having fun with SW The Old Republic because it has a lot of plot and cutscenes and companions, but its also kinda making me anti-social.

I used to play WoW, but I'm two expansion packs behind now and that's just too expensive, and also someone hacked into my account, I changed the email for my account and now can't remember what that email was.

But I don't want tanks! I want to run around pretending I'm a magical creature in the forest chasing after shiny things and zapping stuff with spells.

I lost my body in a cave and now I can't find the entrance to the cave D:

Getting close to just giving up and creating a new character. And not getting lost in a cave again. JEEZ.

Do any of you play Sony Online Entertainment games? I have a press account that I got a long time ago and used for Star Wars Galaxies, but now I moved on to Star Trek. It's a free account and in theory it should work for all the SOE games...

The Steam sale started, and I can either go back to my apartment for lunch every day to see the new deals, or suffer until 4:30 because internet is restricted at work. This is torture.

i had a great run going in Spelunky (350 version). had an unbreakable pickaxe and a jetpack, got to the the black market and got trapped in between two shopkeepers with tiki traps on either side.

had to bomb my way out and pissed off the shopkeepers. killed a bunch of them, but didnt go back to find more bombs (for some dumb reason). i did get to the temple level, but lack of bombs, really screwed me and i died a horrible death.

my higest scoring run so far, but it felt like it could have gone so much better.

I went to Frys to buy RAM and wanted to pick up Red Dead Redemption....but they didnt have it. And their customer service sucked so much I decided to buy the RAM online because fork them and waiting a million years for a sales person

You mean a Red Dead PC port? Yeah, that's something that's been notably missing for a while. No clue why Rockstar wouldn't port that, there is a ton of demand.

I finished CODBLOPS last week and I've been in video game limbo since. I started up Crysis 2, but it's not as good as Crysis. I started up Crusader Kings 2 and I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm going to see how Jagged Alliance: Back in Action goes tonight.

Yeah, Crysis 2 is okay, but just okay.

I started the first Witcher game, but I'm having trouble getting into it. Combat so far (swordfighting) is relentlessly bad. Click, maybe choose a style, click. Click. Whatever.

New World of Tanks patch (with new tanks and new maps and some actual fixes!) came out last week for Russia, yesterday for the EU, but isn't coming out on the US servers until tomorrow! HOW DARE THEY!

I bought my four year old Lego Star Wars for his birthday, but I just want to play it without him. He's not bad at it (how can you be bad at a game with infinite re-spawning?). It goes so much slower and he won't let me read through the scrolling story recaps.

just okay is very fitting for crysis 2. And the combat in The Witcher is a little repetitive. It's much better in the sequel, but the first one is still totally worth playing for the setting and story. The end is rather good, which I don't say often about games.

no I ment Red Dead for ps3...but instead I bought Reckoning and stayed up till 6am and am dragging asparagus today

I have a day off that I was planning to use just for lazing around and playing of World of Warcraft. Of course, it would coincide with server maintenance downtime.

I have Darksiders 2 and it won't run. No errors, nothing, it just dies. It's a real bummer.

And Iron Brigade came out this week, which is awesome, but it has goddamned Games for Windows Live! fork! You'd think I would have learned my lesson about immediately buying a game I'm excited about without checking for GFWL first when I got Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.
