Don't worry, they've slipped in the new black detective woman. I'm sure her role will be long lasting, deep, and meaningful.

I feel like she just all of a sudden was speaking up in meetings, with no real introduction. Oh good, I thought it was just me and I had missed a scene or something.

Glad (like Deb!) the bull mask guy is dead. His mazes were giving me a headache with the strobe lights and whatnot.

I was sad that Quinn's hair didn't get messy this episode.

They're doing a good job of having lots of storylines and keeping it cohesive and interesting.

They seem to have abandoned that storyline and I hope it stays that way!

I'm pretty sure they referenced it in the "Last season on Dexter" thing that played at the beginning of the first episode of this season. I want them to abandon that storyline too, but if they reminded us of it (like we could ever forget!) it is probably relevant somehow to this season. Yeah, I'm wondering why they would mention it and then abandon it. I feel like it's going to come up again.

So Deb still doesn't know that Dexter is her brother, right?

No I think Dexter went out of his way to hide Harry's affair from her.

I'm pretty sure the affair happened after Dexter was born. There was an episode in S1 where Dexter's bio dad died and left him everything, and I'm 99.9% sure that Dexter did a DNA test to make sure the guy was legit. Oh, here we go, from the Dexter Wiki. So yeah, Harry is definitely not Dexter's bio dad.

I've only just watched the first episode of this. I've heard people talk about it how good it is but not what it was about. I think I spent the entire time in shock! It was strangely good. Think I might be watching a few more episodes of it today.

I was pretty amazed when I first watched Dexter. I love the style of the show and there's this weirdly excellent contrast between the content of the show and the filming style/colours/music that goes along with it. I love that after a dark scene it's suddenly daylight and there's latino/salsa music to accompany it.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on in the writer's room, but I'm enjoying this season so much more than past seasons.

Are you guys being sarcastic or am I watching something else? Because I thought it was totally stupid.
He almost kills the pretty murderer but then decides to bone her instead? Really?

I'm so curious to see how that unfolds– her looking back into the Bay Harbor Butcher. I wonder if his thing with Hannah was brought on by Deb mentioning Lumen, and Dex thinking about how it was to have a murder-partner.
