My book is arriving tomorrow (I ordered it today)! I seriously feel like I live in the future. Netflix is like a super futuristic Blockbuster and Amazon Prime is like a super futuristic Amazon. I love some things in life.

Poor Kitteh!
2 1/2 chapters in - I had to watch Revolutionary Road last night because I hate having Netflix discs for too long - makes me twitchy.

I don't remember where I left off! I think I read up to book 8 or 9. I'll have to figure this out and catch up.

i read a book 10 summary on wikipedia since 11 came before i got to finish my reread. i was actually attempting a whole series reread but i started book 1 and found it hard to get past my OVERWHELMING hatred of bill. i'll try again before TB comes back this summer.

I didn't even know it was coming out! Thanks! But I always wait for the paperback because I like to have the series all in one format and I have them all in paperback. April 2012 will be soon, right?

You guys who are annoyed by hardbacks: I resell my new hb releases right after I read them. I usually go list them on amazon or half.com when I start reading--they sell right away for close to what I paid (assuming I got them on release day), and I mail it out after a day or two when I'm done.
Then, I buy the paperback so I have a copy to keep. I do this will all of the Evanovich, LKH, etc books.

LW - that's a good idea! But now that I have it I'm not sure I want to let go :D All done! Also, here's chapter 1: http://www.charlaineharris.com/DeadReck_1.htmlI don't know what to say or what not to say! But I liked it - parts made me a little cranky, but I liked it.

Back to Harper Connelly for a minute - isn't there a new one coming out soon? I can't find any info.

I can't find any info. there's a grave sight comic coming out, but i havent heard anything about a new book. charlaine harris's website is pretty great about telling everyone when stuff is coming out and it looks like more sookie stuff and random compilations and short stories are all that's coming out this year.

Yeah I was looking there - I saw somewhere a preview of an HC book - there was a big buzz because ... it was a sex scene between her and her "brother"

I think I read somewhere that Charlaine Harris is done with the Harper Connelly series. That's kind of a shame, because I like those books better than the Aurora Teagarden ones and maybe more than the SS ones too. (Speaking of which, I've read 1-6 and I'm not sure I should continue because it sounds like it's pretty downhill from there.)

Also, SS 7-9 are still really good, only 10 is kind of a stinker. And it's not even that it's BAD it's just that everything up till then had been so very cool.

So I'm not very far into the book, but I'm so glad that Someone finally brought up the whole deal with Sookie and her cousin and uncle. At the end of the last book, I was waiting for a threesome when they all hopped into bed together. Everyone told me I was nuts. Well, Sam doesn't seem to think so!

Bah, spoilers! Don't read, don't read.
Without giving too much away (I hope), the end of the last HC book seemed pretty final, but it's entirely possible that she could write another one.
