I've finally caught up with the episodes so I can partake in this thread! Yay! I love this show. But Boyfriend and I are zombie... enthusiasts (if that's the right word) who actually have a zombie apocalypse contingency plan and occasionally go to shooting ranges to practice, just in case. So we spend a lot of the show yelling at the characters. Andrea especially. I think we spent at least 15 minutes yelling at her. 'fork YOU, THIS IS NO TIME FOR YOUR STUPID FEELINGS. I HOPE YOUR SISTER BITES YOUR FACE OFF FOR BEING SO forking STUPID'. I love the old man (because he's so lovely and quotes Faulkner) and Daryl (for being the only one with any common sense when it comes to zombies).

My guy says no more until Halloween next year. That seems ridiculous to me! Also, I wanna know what the doctor said to Grimes!

I was a little nervous that last night's episode was going to lack the excitment, anticipation and suspense I've come to expect from the series (I mean, it's zombies, right?!). Yeah, that wasn't the case at all, for me at least. There was a whole range of emotions that kept me really entertained. I was honestly expecting Andrea to be contaminated. I know it had been more than 8 hours once the blood test had been administered, but I almost wanted her to turn into a zombie. Atleast she wised up and left the building; I'd have been pretty pissed had Dale been killed off.

I did like the finale but kinda wished they would have gone completely overboard with the zombie attacks and drama, like, bring the pissed off handless brother back or the dad and son-duo from an early episode (first? second?).
I think the doctor whispering was about the wife being pregnant. yep, that's my theory!

Wait. That was the last show? But I thought there was only going to be one season?

I think the doctor whispering was about the wife being pregnant. yep, that's my theory! I thought that might be the case, too!! cause otherwise the blood taking was pointless as far as the plot goes! it's not like they had condoms with them when they had to run away from the zombies!

Agreed! I originally thought the blood tests were going to reveal the infection in Andrea, but that never happened.

pretty crazy that there were no zombies until the last few minutes other than the brief flashback. also, that lady who stayed behind bothered me. she was always like two inches from everyone's faces and being all earnest and shiitake. also, my least favorite scene of the season is when they're asking about the watch. big deal--he winds it every day. is that even something that everyone would notice? come on. also, i asked for a crossbow for christmas.

I have fallen terribly behind! I need to catch up. the first two episodes looked amazing, there were a few continuity issues, but I knew deep down they weren't going to follow it exactly.
I'm hoping the next few episodes continue to not disappoint.

I hadn't thought about the whispering from the doctor being news that Rick's wife was pregnant, but it makes a lot of sense. Also, are we to assume that the pregnancy is the other guy since she and Rick haven't had that much time together?
I would have really liked to see Merle make a one-handed appearance since I really like Darryl and Merle despite their rugged, hunting, racist personalities. I'm also kind of bummed at the CDC thing. I mean, we didn't learn much about the virus or anything. It just seemed like a moment of too-good-to-be-true before heading back out into terrible zombie land. I wish we'd learned something about something.

It has to be! The timeline seems stretched out, but when you think about it, Rick has only been back for 3 or 4 days.

That would be the perfect way to make them address the fact that she slept with the other guy, too.
I thought the last episode was sort of cheesy, what with the talking computer lady and all. It seemed kind of dated and didn't really fit in with the technology you'd expect to be in the modern CDC or with the rest of the series.

I like the show, but since I've lived in and around the metro Atlanta area almost my entire life, it kind of bugs me. There would be NO REASON to ever go into Atlanta. There are so many towns and subdivisions everywhere on the outskirts, it would be vastly easier and smarter to raid grocery stores and pawn shops, and hell, people's houses. And also, this is Georgia we're talking about. We spent Sunday watching football and shooting clays with my sister's new shotgun. There are guns everywhere. Even if there was a run on them when the infection broke out, they have to be around. I would be knocking down doors and finding those sons of bisques.
Bonus points for the creepy asparagus shot of empty I-85 going into the city, though. That was well done.
I really do enjoy watching, but I have to yell at the TV a bit because it is supposed to be in my backyard, and I can't agree with their decision making.

Shows are always ruined when you're actually familiar with the are in which they take place. After living in Los Angeles I would get so pissed off at Jack Bauer supposedly taking 10 minutes to drive from the Valley to downtown in the middle of the day. Or the 90210 kids working at the Beverly Hills Beach Club. What?? Beverly Hills is nowhere near the beach.

That would be the exact opposite direction.
