I called so much of that, I feel bad for my watching companions. It was like watching with a constant spoiler.

I hate Comic Book Men enough to not even watch the trailer. Can you tell us what was in there? Put it in spoiler tags for the weak.

I was going "Zombie Shane, Zombie Shane, Zombie Shane..." the whole time they were walking in the woods. I was really annoying.

It wasn't a huge trailer: Probably the opening scene of next weeks show. Carl asks Rick what happened with Shane, that he didn't see any Walkers around, the just when Rick is going to say something you hear all of the Walkers coming out of the woods towards them. Lots and lots of Walkers

Also to add, went online to read some reactions and am go glad I'm behind on my TV gossip. Seems it was leaked a while back that the actor playing Shane is going to star in Frank Darrabont's new series next fall on TNT, LA Noir. If I'd known that tonight wouldn't have kept me on the edge of my seat as much.

Okay, my final post on this tonight
For all of you in the T-Dog pack, hang tough, from an interview with creator Robert Kirkman:
And lastly, will T-Dog be allowed to speak again? [Laughs] T-Dog definitely has a lot of cool moments in the finale and a lot of lines. I apologize for that. It’s one of those things where certain characters have to recede into the background to give room to the other characters because we have such a large cast. But every character will get their moment to shine — T-Dog included.

It was seriously ridiculous how prominent he is since Dale's death. If they spent less time in the boring and unhealthy love triangle, maybe the dude wouldn't be completely unnecessary. Oh, and that Shane shiitake was insane! Some dick spoiled the death on facebook, but I really was not expecting him to rise again. Crazy.

So good! But really, Carl, that awesome aim you somehow gained overnight would have been really forking appreciated last week.
Also I kind of wanted Lori and Shane to make out when she was being all emotional and whatnot, just because it was boring and I wanted another reason to hate her (the usual reasons are getting old, and I need some spice in my me vs. Lori relationship).

I read the spoilers weeks ahead of time and I was getting anxious for Rick to kill him and for him to turn already. Especially after what I found to be an incredibly boring episode. However, although I knew Carl was going to be the one to take down zombie Shane, I was did not see that awesome shot to the head coming! Holy crepe that was great. The little brat turned out to be useful for once. And how did Rick not hear zombie Shane moaning and creepin up behind him?

Yeah, they seem to like sneaky zombies in this series.

In my fantasies, Merle resurfaces -alive minus the hand- to find baby bro Daryl (love love love him) embroiled in a torrid romance with Queen of the Post Apocalyptic World Michonne. That's the only thing that I can think of that'd make me as happy as Zombie Carl eating his annoying, manipulative pregnant mom.

Damn! That was crazy. I have not read the comics. I have them all here, but am going to start after I finish this season. The zombie Shane was crazy.
Also, what's up with the turning into zombie even though you haven't been bit? Is that a new development? They seemed to hint at it with the two cops they found ("Must have been scratches"). And then Randall turning after having his neck broken. Now Shane after being stabbed. I thought for sure you had to be infected, though.

My hypothesis ever since they dodged the CDC and Rick got that whisper that everyone stopped talking about was that he was telling them they were all already infected, whether it's air-borne or whatever, but that they've all already got the virus and when they die, it activates.

Apologies, esme. pickledtreats wrote: Also, what's up with the turning into zombie even though you haven't been bit? Is that a new development? I thought for sure you had to be infected, though. I think the show has been purposely unclear about modes of transmission, and I've been wondering about the hows/whens/whys for quite some time, particularly after the thing w/ the cops, and especially now with Shane. I'm hoping there's some insight offered on the latest installment of "Talking Dead", which I've yet to watch. EDIT to say that Fee's theory is most interesting.
