That must be important thing to talk because I`m mostly times listening some LPs/tapes/CDs which mostly appears in those genres mentioned in that title. SO is there any who likes to listen bands like Eyehategod,Corrupted,MOSS, Sunn O))), Fleshpress, ST.Vitus, Reverend Bizarre,Electric Wizard, Conan, Teitanblood, Vasaeleth, Cascets Open etc???
Or is there anybody playing in a band that appears in those genres?
Also this topic must be a kind of "now playing"-posts so I must start: Witchfinder General- Death Penalty LP

I remember you, Iron Goat! Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Electric Wizard, St. Vitus, Sleep, Goatsnake, Om, Acid King, and Conifer. I also made this cake last year, which is sort of metal inspired, even though it's white. Good to have you back!

I like Grief. Does Sleep count? That's more stoner metal. Like some Melvins. Ludicra, for sure. Very occasional Mayhem and Marduk. I really used to be into Bethlehem, need to dig that back up. I'm sure there's more! Good stuff on the Cosmic Hearse blog that Aesop from Ludicra runs.

Aesop's blog is great! http://cosmichearse.blogspot.com/ I consider Sleep sludgy stoner metal, so I count it. ETA: Wikipedia says Sleep is a stoner doom metal band. Either way. Whatevs.

Hey! Great to hear you guys! Nice to get this topic started :) Glad to notice those old friends are still in this board.
Sleep is good band, that Dopesmoker is their best album I think. But its maybe more like stoner- like Acid king but I like those both really much!

I'm originally from New Orleans so I love both of these bands. Sewn Mouth Secrets is one of my top ten favorite albums of all time. I like most genres of metal. Recently I've been listening to Neurosis, Floor, and the last Watain record.

Do you have any picture of that tattoo? EHG tat must be great! I have Reverend Bizarre tattoo in my back. Resently have been listening a lots of that older doom-stuff. Saint Vitus is coming to play in Finland in August and I`m really soked about that because thats a one of the greatest and most honoured doom-metal group in the earth and also one of my really favourit, but also because my band Horse Latitudes have been approached to warm up them! When I heard we are going to play in the same gig as them I was jumping around the walls...... Now playing: TEITANBLOOD(really good BM/DM what eva) http://www.last.fm/music/Teitanblood

I play in a heavy rock band...some doom, some desert rock (that's where I grew up after all!), some punk http://www.facebook.com/pages/HORNSSbut we have more songs -all demos- here on the old myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/hornssfI like the 3rd song the best, but I can't figure out how to reorder them. Anyways, I like Electric Wizard, Melvins, Toner Low, Fu Manchu, Acid King, St. Vitus, The Obsessed, (old) Death SS, Paul Chain, Angel Witch, Cathedral, Candlemass, Pentagram...a ton more. Lots of old 70s metal bands...NWOBHM stuff and of course Maiden and Venom... I went to see Inquisition the other night and they were great -a lot like old Immortal

I like quite a bit of sludge and doom, not so much with the death/black metal. Some of my favourite sludgeish bands are Melvins, Harvey Milk and Eyehategod. My sister's in a sludge band called Undersmile. They're actually really good. They've been getting a lot of good press recently, and have been compared to quite a few of the bands already mentioned in this thread. You can check them out here if you so wish. For anyone not familiar with Bandcamp, you can listen to the tracks for free by clicking on them, as well as buying the EP. It just tends to be faster and better than Myspace is these days.

I'll second the HORNSS recommendation, having just acquainted myself with the tracks. Plus, it's Aesop-approved!

I have seen Inquisition once in Helsinki and that was quite good gig. i was really impressed about that singer who sounded between like croaking toad. Disappearing Ink: Your sisters band sounds great! I think there is something similar with EW but also more those sludgish elemenst. Nice stuff. In yesterday I went to records store and my mate did really good deal when he switched some old crappy CDs to Amebix`s Monolith vinyl. I have been listening it during the morning. I think thats their best album alltought I also like that Arise.

I saw Crowbar, Soilent Green and Eyehategod at the Camden Underworld in 2000. One of the best gigs I've ever been to!

Thanks on behalf of the band. Just had a listen to your band, and you guys are sounding pretty sick. I like it. Thanks to Vuohi, too.
