oh man, i don't know what to think about this season so far. i love a lot of the dancers, but... no mia michaels AT ALL; mary murphy is back; where are napoleon and tabitha; alex wong isn't recovered fully enough to compete, although they're hinting that he will still have some involvement? maybe as an all-star?

oooh, i hadn't heard that about alex! that's exciting, if it's true. as for taboleon, i heard a rumor they'd be back next week...? i, too, am bummed about no mia michaels. maybe it will mean twice as much travis.

also, i am THIS close to murdering "woo" robert. i hate muggers, hated dominic for the same reason. i cringe every time that kid comes on the screen, and don't know why he made the top 10 when every other b-boy and hip hopper has about 10 times his talent.

yep, he grates on me as well. plus, i really really liked li'l O(?) so i was really sad when he was the one who didn't make the cut. he was my favorite b-boy.

No Mia Michaels? The whole season? How come?

Didn't Nappy-Tabs choreograph one of the Vegas week dances?

from here:

mia michaels wrote:
"Last year when I was sitting on the [judges] panel, I knew it wasn’t the right fit because I felt too glossy sitting on the panel,” she exclusively tells us. “People were so focused on what I wore and my hair. I wanted to get dirty and back to the work. I am an artist and I’m a visionary. I need to paint my world now and not be constantly linked to So You think You Can Dance."

i love mia michaels so much that even when she says shiitake like "paint my world," i'm totally ON BOARD. i love her! it just doesn't feel like sytycd without her.

I loved the statue dance, and I really liked the Jive too! I'm not a fan of "wooo" guy, but he did great on the Jive.

I'm disappointed that "wooo" Robert got in instead of The Professor. I can handle "indubitably" more than a variety of "wooo"s.

Sucky McSuckerson! I wondered where he was! It would have been so awesome to see him back this season competing, but he is awesome enough to be an all-star, obviously.

I think that the "woo" will get annoying to people after a while and he might get voted off for that reason. I think maybe he made it because he was versatile? I don't know.

I agree.

I was sort of on the fence about Mia Michaels last season; she started to annoy me sometimes, but now that Mary is here this season? I miss Mia HARD.

they made me fall in love with the professor and then they YANKED him away from me and left me with the most annoying jackass of all time. BOOOOOURNS.

Ryan and Ricky are both really awesome dancers. I have a problem with Ryan's facial expressions though. She has a bad case of ballroom dancer face - way too smiley for the routine, in my opinion. I bought what she was selling last week about why she was grinning, but this week it was too much and it killed the sexy.

Jess is an arrogant little shiitake but he's sort of growing on me. The dancing was okay but I'm beyond confused as far as what the song had to do with the story. I love Jump Little Children and I love Cathedrals, but it has fork all to do with romance. I feel bad for Jess and Clarice, clearly those lifts were a nightmare for the both of them.

Nappytabs routines are just so damn amazing and enjoyable. Seriously. Powerful.
I am afraid that they did two this week because they won't have them around for a few weeks and that would make me sad.

Yes! So happy for Sasha and Alexander and Caitlynn and Mitchell.
Those two couples and Marko and Melanie (my favorite of favorites) and Jordan and Tadd are my favorite. I think. But I really like Iveta and Nick, too.

YESSSS!!! i was so sure that they were going to say something about it, but... they just didn't. they were all going on about how sexy it was and i was like, "are you kidding me?"

i just couldn't help but feel sorry for mandy moore for getting them for that awesome routine.

I'm pretty shocked by the female results!
But sort of not, because the judges sometimes choose the dancer who has stuff to work on/can improve? But still, a little bit shocked. I mean, don't get me wrong, she's a great dancer.

Same. I liked Nick a lot. He sort of reminded me of Kent from last season for some reason.

um. what. RYAN is staying. what. WHY.

and...i honestly thought nick would be one of the top 2 or 3 guys.

and...wadi is about 100x more talented than robert, which is why they should have axed robert last week when they had the chance!!!

basically...i don't understand this week at all.

I know. I really feel like the other dancers were stronger, but I think this is a case of "we want to keep you around because you have improvements to make."

Or some junk.
But what do I know? I am not a dance critic by any means.

Agreed.
I also liked Sasha and Alex's routine. Only those two couples have really stood out to me this evening, I think. Not that I don't have favourites, but I haven't liked the dances the couples I like have performed this episode.
I used to like Sonya Tayeh's routines but I haven't gotten into them this season.

eta: and just as I wrote the last sentence, I liked the last routine with Ryan and Ricky.

I was so annoyed with last weeks elimination I couldn't even talk about it. Nick was my favorite guy and now he's gone. *sigh*

The bit with Sasha's hands sticking out of the piano was super-creepy. Do not want!

Also, I love Kristen Chenoweth but she is nuttier than a fruitcake.
