I was working as a cashier at my campus bookstore yesterday and I rang up Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. They both seemed nice yet quiet. It was graduation and their son was graduating from my school.

Years ago I got to meet a few interesting famous & not so famous people when I worked at a radio station. My favourite was Alice Cooper, he was so friendly, such a nice guy and chatted with everyone. The Black Crowes came by once. This was when rock fashion was anorexic looking guys in really really tight white jeans and black leather vests. I even thought it was tacky back then. Peter Frampton didn't say a word, he sat in a corner while his people did all the talking. Sue Johansen (sex lady) had a regular show and I saw her often. She is such a lovely and funny person. I also saw David Suzuki lots. He once helped me decorate the office xmas tree!
One time I was shopping at a perfume counter and was starting to get pissed off because all the sales people were ignoring me. I looked up and realized why. Lauren Hutton was on the other side of the counter.
A couple of years ago I was going into a mall through a back entrance with only one door unlocked. I was walking with my head down so when I pushed the door open, I didn't notice someone exiting at the same time. She held the door open for me and let me go through first. I realized afterword that it was Julia Stiles. She's really beautiful.
I was sitting in a cafe when Dan Ackroyd came in with David Crosby (of Crosby/Stills/Nash). They had a quick peruse through the magazines grabbed a coffee & left.

[quote="Nummers"] he also met a ton of famous people and chatted for about ten minutes with Zach Galifianakis. He (Mr. Nummers) told Zach, "You look fatter in real life, it's like you're doing a reverse Marilyn Monroe!" which apparently made Zach double over with laughter and say that was the best thing anyone told him all night. quote]
I love this. I have little crush on Mr. Galifinakis.

I saw Anthony Stewart Head outside a Borders on the corner of Denmark Street (famous music shop region of London). He's not that big a celebrity, but I kind of really like Buffy (*shame*), so I was a bit excited.
I've also met a bunch of musicians, but I don't know if any of them count as celebrities, as such. The only one I was genuinely star struck over meeting was Brody Armstrong/Dalle of The Distillers, when I was about 14. I worshipped her at that point.

No shame there! You should go post this in the Buffy thread. Then you will feel the love.

I think the shame you should feel is not realizing that most of the people reading this thread are loud and proud about their love for Buffy! You have some threads to read newb!

How can people NOT love Buffy?? I just finished re-watching the whole thing on Netflix and I'm considering starting over again.

i saw Jay McCarroll and Valerie Mayen at Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn yesterday. i poked into Valerie's booth not realizing it was hers, but i saw her photo (with part of the Project Runway logo) on the business card. i was a little shocked when i turned around and saw her right there, so i babbled some nonsense about not expecting to see someone famous at Renegade and that she had been robbed that season. she was very friendly and patient with my mutterings. when i saw Jay he was already talking to two women about his dayglo jacket, so i just looked at his tote bags.

I apologise to all for my Buffy shame. But, the first step to recovery is realising you have a problem. I will have to go and watch me some episodes as penance for my blasphemy.

I've met Isa and Kathy Stevens, and got stupid tongue-tied with both of them. And Terry, who is very pretty.
And I met Mario Cuomo, Justices Stevens and Souter, and couldn't get a coherent sentence out. I also swooned over a puppy only to realize it was attached to Billy Baldwin and Chynna Phillips. And I physically bumped into Woody Allen by accident while he was filming something with Jason Biggs and Christina Ricci. I've seen Chris Rock around Rockefeller Plaza (pre his stupid pitbull comments). And a long time ago, I saw a very drunk Claudia Shiffer and David Copperfield hanging over eachother in Trump Plaza. And once I was walking in the West Village and saw a person who looked so familiar but I thought she was from the drag show at Bar d'O. Turned out it was Sarah Jessica Parker and she was annoyed I was looking at her. She was as far as one could humanly be while still being together from Matthew Broderick who looked apologetic.
Sigourney Weaver, A-rod and Nicole Kidman worked out at my gym. I felt bad for NK, because everyone was looking at her, until someone pointed out that she could have easily gone to a private gym had she wanted to. A-Rod stared at himself in the mirror non-stop. Not hot.
Tourists going "I KNOW YOU, YOU'RE FAMOUS YOU WERE IN FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL" to Alan C*mming, and him saying that no he wasn't as his friends snickered.
And my all time favorite - going to Babbo's in the Village and being seated next to Vince Neil and his very over-the-hill groupies. I've never been giddier or more embarrassed to recognize someone than I was there.

when i was in junior high, my friends and i were sitting next to an ugly old guy at a dodger game and people kept going up to him to ask for his autograph. we had no idea who he was, so we asked for his autograph to see what he would write. it said, "stay cool, little ladies! love, ron jeremy." we asked some dude if he knew who ron jeremy was, and when he told us he was a porn star with a huge dick we wanted to vomit.
when i was in high school i hung out with elliott smith for a little while before a show of his in los angeles. he was such a nice guy.
i feel like i've seen or briefly met a bunch of other celebs, but those are my most memorable!

Buffy brings back so many memories! My roommate at my old college was the biggest Buffy fan that I have ever seen, she even had multiple Buffy related tattoos and we would watch Buffy almost every day.

I had cheese pizza (pregan obviously) at John Stossel's apartment on central park west with my brother when he was an intern for ABC. Nice guy, even if his politics are ridiculous. His hair is much more gray in real life.

Oh! Martin Sheen walked right in front of me at a School of the America's protest.
Pete Seeger was staying at the same hotel as us, but I didn't see him there. That would would have made me the happiest.
