I don't think Alton is necessarily a bad guy, but it seems like he is more filling a role in the show as a judge. The formula for 3 judges is usually a tough and abrasive one, a softer and smiley one, and a likeable and more neutral one. Like a Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson thing. So I don't fault any of them for acting like they do -- it's something that is surely designed/mandated by the producers!

I'm not the hugest fan of Stacey, but the idea of a veganized maple bacon cheesecake has me seriously drooling now! Must make this.

I like Guy but I don't care for Pie Guy...Most of the time he is talking nonsense. I am surprised to see Chad go. I surely thought they would keep him around for eye-candy...

Yeah, I can't believe Chad went before Pie Guy or Russell! I mean, Chad wasn't awful or anything. I feel like they really want Russell to go far no matter how jacked up his food and personality is. Like, maybe they think his fauxhawk equals excitement or something?

I don't really love any of them. Damaris is sort of growing on me. A little.

Pie Guy is so annoying. I must be missing the "lovable" quality that people keep discussing. And he doesn't listen to any advice, so I'm not sure why they are putting up with him. At this point, he is just cannon fodder.

I hope Chad comes back from kitchen salvation.

Can we please have a challenge where everybody is forbidden from using bacon?

Most of the people on this show are just boring. I wouldn't watch any of their shows. I don't understand Russell's revolution. He like to say he's leading a revolution but I have no idea about what. Stacy is really good and I think she'll win but she's kinda bland.

The only people I find entertaining are pie guy & damaris cause they're a bit wacky. Pie guy it's definitely laughing AT him rather than with him. It's kinda like watching a train wreck

I kinda love Damaris - she's such a goofball. But I'm afraid that if she got a show, it would be like Sandra Lee lite. I'm pretty sure Stacy will win, and I think she could do a good show. For the judges who are all concerned with spontaneity, I have two words: Barefoot Contessa. At least Stacy has more personality than her!

I like her the best of everyone also. The problem is, she comes across as really insecure. Like, for every challenge she's like, "They asked us to cook potatoes and I was like UH-OH! That sounds scary!" I feel like it's just a ditzy act, but still, I don't think she comes across as an expert or anything.

agreed, she does come across a bit flakey, but she does seem the most genuine of them all.

i really like stacey too, but she is too perfect and polished.

sigh for chad, soooooo dreamy....... hope he'll be back!

Yes, she is definitely who I'd most want to hang out with and I would watch her show. (Damaris, that is)

So, Lovely comes back and goes away again all in one episode! I did feel a little bad for her because the guys she was supposed to be chatting up were pretty standoffish. I would rather watch her for another week than Russell or the pie guy. Also, Stacey was hella rude to the donut man. What the hell? I understand that she wanted to get it all in with the time limit, but...you can't just talk over people and brush them off, dude. You're supposed to be, like, charming and welcoming and, I don't know, interested in what the people you're interviewing have to say. Also the fact that she cried because she would have gone home if her team didn't win was really off-putting. Like...yeah, but you're not going home and someone else is, so shut the fork up. Heave a sigh of relief like everyone else and get off the stage. Drama queen.

I still think she's going to win because she's really the only one that has all of her shiitake together, but that episode really turned me off of her, and now I root for no one! Except maybe Nicki. She's growing on me.

Damaris is totally growing on me. at first she kinda annoyed me but now i think she is lovable/goofy.
i think Nicki is also growing on me. i kinda go back and forth with her. one week she's totally off putting the next week i like her

i was glad to see Lovely go again because i cant stand her constantly saying "party on a plate" i mean good for her for sticking to her POV but YAAAAAWWWNNNN

i hope Russell goes soon he is boring too.
i think Stacy will win too but she is kinda bland and too good.
i do like her but i dont know if i woud watch her show. plus she was SUPER LOUD DURING HER SEGMENT WITH DONUT MAN

i know everyone hates Pie Guy but i kinda like him. he amuses the shiitake out of me. its more of a "laughing AT you" kinda deal though

I don't know that I would watch any of the shows from any of the winners. I totally hate Guy Fieri, so he's out. I watched an episode of the sandwich guy's show the other day and it was pretty awkward and lackluster, even though I totally rooted for him that season. And I've never seen anything from Justin, who won last season. Does he even have a show? I totally rooted for him the whole way, too, but I still don't know if I'd like his show. I mostly just watch for the competition aspect of it, since Masterchef drives me up the wall, as does Hell's Kitchen, and I'm not even sure if Top Chef is even on anymore. I'm much more invested in Next Iron Chef, because I watch Iron Chef on the reg, but no one ever picks the new people anyway. It's all kind of anticlimactic.

Also, yeah. Damaris is sort of growing on me, too, now that she can handle being in front of the camera.

The whole "bring back an eliminated contestant" thing is a cop-out. I don't remember any reality competition show where the eliminated contestant makes it very far once back in the game (Survivor is the exception, since it's not exactly a skill-based show). I was looking forward to Russell or pie guy leaving this week, but nope. No forward movement. The world does not need another Guy Fieri, and this episode made it clear that this is exactly who pie guy wants to be.

Stacy pretty much tanked this week. I get what the judges are saying about her being rehearsed, but if she doesn't do a show that involves interaction (which describes about 80% of the shows on Food Network), then she'll probably be fine. It seems clear that the winner will be one of the ladies, but I'm just not sure which one.

Top Chef season 10... Kristen got eliminated then ended up winning the show.

Bye bye Lovely - once again. I did not like her then or now.

Damaris is cool, Stacy is cool and the veggie gir's dish was the one I would go for to eat.

Pie Guy & Sin Guy just do not do it for me...

I watched a previous winner - the $10 meal lady today, boring.....

Never thought Damaris or Nicki would win me over, but now I find myself hoping either one of them will win. I can't see myself watching any of the others that are left.

After last night, I'm completely convinced that they are eliminating (and not eliminating) contestants purely for drama/entertainment factor. Like, perhaps obviously Nicki and Pie Guy were both going to be eliminated eventually, but Pie Guy was CLEARLY worse last night. However, he has a more dynamic personality, so they're keeping him around another week so we have someone to cringe at. This season is kinda sucky.

But at least we don't have Kermit and Suzy constantly chanting "tell us a story."

I hope Damaris wins. I like her a lot. I have the feeling that she is exactly the same in real life. She just seems like a sweet goofball.

Nikki's face reminds me so much of Botticelli's venus.

I'm rooting for her, too, if I'm rooting for anybody. I could not possibly care less about Russell and his "culinary sins," which aren't sins at all because have you read a food blog lately, dude? Bacon and booze are EVERYWHERE. Shut up. Especially on the Food Network, I feel like it's more of a "culinary sin" to NOT use bacon. Heavens forfend you don't use meat or cheese at all. Rodney is ridiculous, but not really in a good way, and Stacy has her shiitake together but she always comes across a little fake to me.
